I made a diet of consisting of 6 meals and a total of 3000 calories. I used a calorie calculater and according to my body weight 3000 cal. is a fat loss ammount. I should be eating around 4250 cal. says the calculator. Is that where I should start so i can get some size?

I wouldn't put much stock in those formulas, because everyone is different. They can be useful in determing a rough estimate of your daily calories but you will have to adjust the cals up or down according to how much weight you are losing/gaining each week.

I think the best approach is to figure out how many cals you are currently eating and then adjust the cals up or down small increments each week until you are losing the desired amount of weight each week. You can use a site like www.ftiday.com to help you track your cals.
