When doing these should you keep your elbows flared out or kept tightly at your sides?

I don't actually touch my elbows to my sides, but they are kept in close. Make sure your grip isn't too close or you will fudge up your wrists.

I agree with Latman about the grip..

I use just narrower than shoulder width and make a concious effort to keep my elbows nice and close to my body..

Do it in the manner with which you are most comfortable. You will stress the triceps either way.

I agree with chris .... Which ever you feel the most. Try using a E-Z bar for close grip pressing as this tends to take the stress of your wrists.
