Do these breakdowns look like they'd do what they said they would?

Goal: 2 lbs/wk fat loss
40% protein
30% carbs
30% fat

Goal: More muscle, less fat
24% protein
38% carbs
38% fat

Goal: 1 lb/week muscle gain
18% protein
41% carbs
41% fat


hmm..it makes sense to me...

there are other factors to consider especially for the last one posted.

if I were to eat 41% carbs since I have a desk job I would gain nothing but fat and probably lose muscle because my body wouild not have enough protein to remain in a positive nitrogen balance...

my personal goal is more of a "more muscle less fat" or more of a maintenance level... currently, after few posts on here, i decided to up my fat... im currently at

35% protein
40% carbs
25% fat

I think as long as you are getting adequate protein and EFAs the macro ratios are not going to be that important. Sure you might see some differenc, but not enough to write home about:)

You can gain weight on a 40/30/30 diet and you can just as easily lose weight, assuming you are still getting in enough protein and EFAs.
