Hey, this is my first post on these forums.
Great discussions going on here.. a lot of knowledge in everyone on these boards.. and i bet I will be coming here alot more often.
I'm from the UK, age 16, and currently training for fitness & strength for martial arts.
Therefore I don't want to bulk up hugely, but I want a very low body fat percentage, defined, strong muscles, but more than anything, speed.
Now, I'd like some advice on a Protein Drink, if you would.
Being 16, looking around at the protein supplements available, I find they are really expensive, and with the Marcy multigym etc I am saving up for at the moment, i just can't afford it.
So, I'm looking at ways of taking in enough protein to keep building the muscles after training.
Usual meals are: Rice + Chicken + vegetables, or Pasta and Chicken. Basically, I try and get hold of good protein through what I eat normally, with little fat.
Now, I have started with a protein shake of:
Orange Juice, 2 Ice Cubes, a little sugar, maybe a banana, and 2 eggs.
The problem is, the only real protein in that is the eggs. If I could find a cheap, decent protein powder (in the UK), it would be perfect, and I would add a bit into every drink. This would be a good boost combined with my usual diet.
So does anyone know of such a powder?
Thanks,
AJ
