Hey, this is my first post on these forums.
Great discussions going on here.. a lot of knowledge in everyone on these boards.. and i bet I will be coming here alot more often.

I'm from the UK, age 16, and currently training for fitness & strength for martial arts.
Therefore I don't want to bulk up hugely, but I want a very low body fat percentage, defined, strong muscles, but more than anything, speed.

Now, I'd like some advice on a Protein Drink, if you would.
Being 16, looking around at the protein supplements available, I find they are really expensive, and with the Marcy multigym etc I am saving up for at the moment, i just can't afford it.

So, I'm looking at ways of taking in enough protein to keep building the muscles after training.
Usual meals are: Rice + Chicken + vegetables, or Pasta and Chicken. Basically, I try and get hold of good protein through what I eat normally, with little fat.
Now, I have started with a protein shake of:
Orange Juice, 2 Ice Cubes, a little sugar, maybe a banana, and 2 eggs.
The problem is, the only real protein in that is the eggs. If I could find a cheap, decent protein powder (in the UK), it would be perfect, and I would add a bit into every drink. This would be a good boost combined with my usual diet.
So does anyone know of such a powder?
Thanks,
AJ

Hi there, I`m new on this site too, so ur not alone. Anyway about the protein thing. I have found a cheap whey protein which may interest you. It`s holland and barrets own brand and it`s only 15 squid, it`s the cheapest around my area and it tastes pretty good , a lot of them don`t. You could get a few tins of tuna like I do. It`s cheap as hell and packed with the good stuff. Anyhow try Holland and B.
Hope i helped see ya pal. :)

Hey hellrazor, is it snowing where you are?

I'm really ****ed off that the game has been cancelled!

I go to holland and barrat too! New year sales were selling 908g or whey for £11!! cool eh? did yours have the same price and deal?

Hey AJ, try your best to get your nutritional needs from real food yeah.

hey A.J. i too know what its like to try and meet protein requirements on a tight budget but i noticed in your protein shake your missing a really cheap and good form of protein...... MILK! Try making some milk shakes with 250-500ml of skim milk thats 18grams of protein right there and if u would like to boost that try adding skim milk powder or youghurt that should do the trick bud!!

Hey AJ..

I use Xtreme muscle for my supps in the UK and I use Prolabs 100 % whey..

http://www.xtrememuscle.co.uk

Its £27.99 and has 72 servsing in it,

Each serving is 22 grams fo protein, 6 carbs and 2 fat..

I am also going to look inot seeing how much the "protein factory" protein is to be shipped to the UK..

I think that is http://www.proteinfactory.com

Hope that helps

I would look for soy protein or a combination of different protein, as its usually much cheaper than the over hyped Whey protein.
