Sounds fine to me. He is saying that whey is not the end all and be all of protien sources. Some cases whey is horrible to consume and in other's can be much more benificial. That and he keeps citing the same damn study... 1 data point on a graph is just that... 2 is not even a correlation. Any good scientific or technical document should not rely so heavily on 1 journal (refereed preferably)

I have not read the article, but casein and whey are quite different and are both beneficial in different ways. You can't really say which is better when they do not perform the same function.

Whey is ideal post workout and first thing in the morning becuase of its excellent absorption rates, casein is better during the day and before bed as it is digested more slowly. The best thing is to use a combination of both.

whey is considered an "anabolic" protein while casein is considered an "anti-catabolic" protein.

Yeah, I think the available evidence points to the fact that in most instances (pre/post workout being the possible exception) casein is a much better choice than whey.

Casein is a slower digesting protein form than whey, so it is, IMO, better to take immediately before bed, so that you will have more protein release through your sleep. Whey is quicker to digest, so it is better immediately after a workout.
