Hey guys, I figured I should keep a journal to record everything I do and get tips and stuff from you guys, since this is like the best place I've found to find information on body building. It might not be the prettiest and most detailed journal, but I'll do my best. I look at some of ya'lls journals and it looks like you take 2 hours for each entry... :eek: Anyway, here's my current stats.

Weight: 162 lbs. Goal: 200 by Next year
BF %: no idea. Goal: more BF
Age: 18 (september) Goal: to be really old
Height: 5'11" Goal: Not to shrink
Biceps: 14" (pumped, yea I'm weak) Goal: 19"
Chest: ? Goal: ?
Legs: ? (need to get measured... *note to self* :rolleyes: )
Bench: 280 (on a good day, little arch) Goal: 315 by Next year
Squat: 355 (on a good day, parallel) Goal: 450 by Next year

Workout:
Back & Bi's

Machine Rows: 115x10, 135x10 (bleh, I hate this machine at this gym)

Lat pulldowns?: 115x10, 135x10 (same machine..):(

Bent over DB rows: 50 2x(10/10)

1 arm Cable Curls: 70x(10/10), 60x(10/10), 50x(10/10), 60x(10/10) steeper angle.

Sitting DB curls: 30x10/10, 40x5/5

1-mile walk in the sun. :)

Diet: okay, not too bad... Could of eaten more... going to eat pizza here in a minute. Took juiced Creatine (Pinacle) 30 min. before workout. Taking Protien shake (40g) tonight before bed.

Other: Going to see T3 tonight... woohoo! Want to see Ah-nuld back in shape :cool: .:D

Yo yo yo... Back again. Thanks for all of the kind replies... lol. Anyway, I saw T3, it was AWESOME... And am watching T2 tonight to refresh my memory of the plot and compare. I also got a membership at Gold's Gym which is only 12 miles away from where I live. This place has MUCH better equipment than the gym I have been working in and will serve me well. (I can get a tan! woo!)

Anyways, here was my workout for today.

Workout:
Legs

Box Squats: (parallel) 135x10, 225x10, 315x6, 335x2 (form not so great), 225x10.

Front Squats: 135x10. (these were painful on my shoulders, I think I might be holding it incorrectly? or maybe I should just toughen up)

Calve Raises: 3 plates x 10, 3 plates x 15, 2 plates x 20.

1 Leg curls: 90x10/10, 90x10/10, 90x10/10. (should of added more weight. or pyramided)

Butt Buster (one leg press)! 3 sets of 50x10/10

Lunges: bw+80x10/10

Diet: Trying to cram food in this stupid thing they call my stomach. I haven't eatten dinner yet, but I plan to stuff myself silly. Plan to drink Protien shake before bed.

Overall a good leg workout at my new gym. Buns of steel coming up soon!

No workout today, this is my chance to rest. I was working on eatting really good though today at work. BTW, anyone know how much protien is in a typical Grill Chicken Sandwich from Sonic? They have no nutritional labels so I just guess around 15g? Anyway I ate 3 of those, a Jr. Burger, Toast, Cheese Sticks (which contain 20g of protien per order ;) ), and had a protien shake this morning.

Tonight I plan to eat more and go tanning at my new gym so I can get the "look". I might even do some shoulder work, but I dunno. I think I need to rest my shoulders because I think I injured my left shoulder due to incorrectly doing front squats last night... Oh well... chest/tri's/ab's tomorrow, I can't wait. Plan to go heavy on the Bench, see where my strength's at currently. Until tomorrow..

Oh boy oh boy! What a workout today for chest.

Workout:
Chest/tri's

Flat Bench: 135x10, 225x7 (new record reps for this weight! could of done 8!), 245x3, 265x1, 225x5, 185x8!
Great workout, felt very strong.

Flat DB press: 80x7 (slow), 55x10, 55x10.

DB flys (flat): 35x10, 35x10. (chest is dead now)

Tricep Pressdowns (rope): 40x10, 40x10.

Dips: BWx10, BWx10, BWx10

Tricep over-head extentions (cables, sitting): 60x7 ouchie

Tricep pushdowns (v-bar): 60x10, 60x10.

Cable x-overs: 80x3(too light, whups), 120x10, 140x10.

Chest felt like it was going to explode! Very defined in the upper-portions. Couldn't do much with Triceps today, they were burnt from all the pressing. Left elbow is giving me some pain as of right now. Next chest session, need to do some incline work... All flat pressing today. Excellent workout!

Diet: Not too bad, should of eatten more. 10g of creatine 30 minutes before workout.

Weigh-in at gym: 163 lbs.

Other: I have to pee badly. Drinking water like crazy.

Oh, and to add to today's journal... I've eatten 2 foot-long Meatball subs, and a juicy T-bone steak... And I weighed after all of that and gallons of water later, and I weigh about 168. lol. Now if all of that would just stay inside me :rolleyes: .

omg, I just had to add this in... I was looking in the mirror and I have a slight stretch mark on my left pec-delt. That is SO FREAKING awesome! Woo, I guess I really did have a great chest day. :D hehe

Workout:
Back & Biceps

Wide-grip Pullups: (I'm weak in this area) BWx7, BWx6, BWx3 (slow).

Close-grip Pullups: BWx10

Wide-grip Pulldowns: 80x10, 100x10, 80x10, 80x10, 80x7. (I want that wideback..)
I kept returning to this machine throughout my workout.

DB Rows: 50x10/10, 60x10/10, 35x10/10 (slow)

Standing BB raises (smith): 135x10, 185x5, 135x10

Cable Rows: 80x10, 70x10, 60x10, 80x8 (all slow and controlled, no back movement)

T-bar Raises to top abdomen (whatever this is called): 120x10, 150x5, 130x10

Concentration Curls (arms dead at this point): 40x2/2, 35x5/5
Started with my left arm on this. (weaker, smaller) Trying to get better symetry between the two)

Icarian(sp?) Curl machine: 45 middle x7, 45 upper x 7, 45 lower x 4, 45 lower x 2 (extremely slow with tons of unending force) :evillaugh

Preacher Curl Machine: 50x10, 70x6.

Little ab work and that was all folks! Over all, it was an okay workout. Tons of people in the gym today, was a little irratating. Had to walk around to the BB benches to do some concentration curls because other people were hogging up the other benches. I need to go later, I went around 5:30pm.

Diet: Good, packing in the Grill chickens at work, lemme tell ya. Ate 5 today. Big dinner tonight. Geese, Rice, some veggie that I probably won't eat. Protien shake later before bed. 10g of creatine + Mega Joint (2g of creatine, other stuff for joints.. :p )

Weigh-in @ Gym: 163.5 lbs

Other: ooo, girl pissed me off at work today. I was reading through a Physical Health mag, and looking at a picture of Jay Cutler (telling one of my buds that I'd look like this someday), and a girl was like, "You'll never be that big, what are you looking at that for?" I was like, "excuse me, come talk to me in 5 years. We'll see who's not big. That's just more fuel for me to pursue a monsterous bod. Man, that pissed me off though. Stupid Ndin. (nothing against NDN's, my best friend is one) I felt like slapping the hell out of her though, show her what my workouts have been doing for my strength. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... I'm mad.
Also thinking of changing my split. Need to post a topic about it, since noone reads my journal.

Hey thanks bro. Nice to know someone at least reads somma my journal... :p I really was mad about that though. Something that made me feel better was, I was sitting at my bar eatting my dinner, with my shirt off, (Goose wrapped in bacon, wild rice(mmm), and stuffing) and my dad was like, "you look pretty filled out." and I asked, "what do you mean by that?" I didn't know if he meant fat or what. He said, "you look stronger than hell." So that made me feel great. I replied with, "good". Dad's are awesome.

Good strength for your weight. Best of luck on all your goals. It takes time for people to start reading in and providing input, but it'll happen. Great start to your journal and best of luck. I look forward to seeing your progress.

Yesterday sucked. I hadn't talked to my girl in like a week because she's been avoiding me because I was mean to her. I mean I wrote her a sorry letter and have been apologizing to her and stuff, and she came up to Sonic and parked next to me in one of the stalls. So we were talking and she had to go somewhere to eat with her friend's parents or something. Anyway I told her to just come over to my house after they were through. She was like, "alright, we will." "you promise?" "yea, we'll come over". Then she no-showed me and didn't even call or (call back) I tried calling her. I was pissed. It wasn't that I was so mean to her that she can just have an excuse to be a bi*** all the time. I was just having a bad day and stuff. Anyway, I don't know why I'm rambling about this.

Diet yesterday: Horrible. I should of eatten way more. I had a protien shake, milk, drank water all day, 2 ham&cheese sandwiches, 2 bowls of hamburger helper (that my brother screwed to hell with putting too much water in).

Altogether a bad resting day. I did go tanning though. Can't decided whether to do legs today or rest one more day. Legs are still a little sore from last time. Oh well we'll see later.

Well, I'm back. Today turned out better. Found out that my girl didn't come over because she was at her X's with her friend, and her friend is porkin' some guy who lives there so she stays with her becaus she doesn't want to stay at her grandma's house. She promises that she's not doing anything with her X, and I think I can trust her on that. We have a pretty trustworthy relationship, and if she ever lies, she knows that' I'll find our sooner or later. But that still frustrated me a little bit... She's supposed to call me in about 30 minutes, we'll see what happens.

ANYWAY, on with the Workout:
Legs

Box Squats: 135x10, 225x10, 295x8, 335x3, 275x7, 225x10.
I was going to reverse pyramid back down to 135 for a cool down, but back was bothering me. Also didn't go EXTREMELY heavy because I didn't have a belt. Looking at my squatting though, my max should be higher than 355 as of now, it's just a matter of doing it.

Leg Press: 4plx10, 6plx8, 6plx10. (don't know how my reps went up)
First were nice and slow... Last one I just banged em out.

Leg Extensions on Icarian machine: assorted plates... 3 sets (don't remember how much)

Ham Curls: 140x5/5 (ouchie, cramp in left ham), 90x10/10, 90x10/10

Calve Raises: 3plx10, 2plx20, 2plx20

Stretched and was outta thar.

Weigh-in @ gym: 161 (due to yesterday's non-eatting appetite :swear: )

Diet: Better than yesterday. Had like 4 grill chickens at work, lots of coke, water, big helpings of Ravioli (mom made), and 3 garlic breads. Protien shake before bed. 10 g of creatine also.

Not a bad workout today, my legs were so dead after doing leg extensions I nearly fell on my face but caught myself on another machine. I was walking all funny over to the leg curls... I know some people were laughing or thinking, "man, he had a hard workout". Anyway, not bad. Tomorrow's rest day... I'll update on girl story. :rolleyes:

Great stuff, your about the same age as me and height so i thought i would take an interest in this log. Your diet is much better than mine. I am at home currently and struggle to get enough food(the right stuff) down me, but when i go back to uni its all about chicken breasts :). Your chest work out looks really strong i have to say, top stuff.

Anyway today, again, is a rest day so I guess I'll update on the girl story. Just so I'll know someday when I look back on this how screwed up my love life is.

She didn't call me back in 30 minutes like she said she would.. She pretty much just showed up at my house about 10 minutes later... lol. I answered the door dressed up like a cowboy (i.e. wranglers, button up shirt, red wings hat, etc), and didn't know she was coming over. I was like AHH!!! cuz I never dress like that I was just playing around in my dad's clothes and wanted to see how good I looked in a pair of wranglers after a leg day... lol. She was cracking up. I untucked my shirt so it would hang down and cover my midsection and she was like, "lemme see your butt! I wanna see how they look in wranglers you have a cute butt." I didn't show her but she was lookin. ;) Anyway she left about 2 hours later and we talked on the phone for awhile later. So I guess it's going better.

If she doesn't turn out ok, I always have a backup that was my X before about 3 years ago, and she moved back. :evillaugh

Eatting like a horse today. muhahahaha! I can't wait for chest day. I think I'm going tomorrow. This is the first I haven't been in the gym for like 6 days... I'm going through withdrawls. OH well... until tomorrow.

Phew... it's been awhile. Had computer taken away from me so I had to keep some written logs to help me remember... a little bit anyways from my last workouts. Right now I'm working on a different split. It's a 4 day:
DAY 1: Legs/abs
DAY 2: Chest/Tri/Shoulders/abs
Day 3: Back/Bi's/abs
Day 4: Rest

Girlfriend is gone. Just friend's now. bleh. Oh well, it wouldn't of worked out anyway.

Well the first of the missed entries...

Workout:
Chest

Warm-up: Incline 135x10. (too much to get ready to max)
Flat Bench: 290x1 (miss), 285x1 (miss), 225x2 (no strength :mad: ), 185x8 :mad: .

That's all I remember for that.

Lat Raises: 25x10/10, 15x10/10, 20x7/7

Cable Raises (one-arm): 40x3/5, 30x10/10

Ab work, and that's it.

Leg Press: 4plx10, 6plx5, 6pl+50x3 (ooo, nice and slow).

Leg Extensions: light weight performed slow with squeeze at top. 10 reps x 2.

Butt Blaster: 100x10/10 All weight on machine.

No calves this workout, left calf still a little sore.

Finally, back to today. Today's workout got better as it went on. Was a little discouraged from not getting up the big 300, but it was alright.

Workout:
Chest/tri's/shoulders/abs

Bench: 135x3, 135x3, 300x1 (miss! stupid right arm would not go up, if I had 2 left arms I would of gotten it), 225x5, 245x2.5 (good thing there were 2 catchers, didn't have a spotter on this one)

Tricep Pressdowns (v-bar): 60x10, 80x10, 100x8.

Skull Crushers: 65x10, 85x8, 95x6. (getting better at these)

Cable x-overs: high-120x10, low-120x10, 120x8.

Seated Over head Cable tricep extensions: 60x10. (this machine is tough!)

Cable Ab work.

Rope tricep pressdowns: 60x10, 80x6.

Over-head DB press: 40x10/10, 50x10/10, 35x10/10.

seated side Lat Raises: 20x10/10, 20x10/10

Standing front Lat Raises: 20x10/10.

seated Full(?) Lat raises: 15x10/10

Cross Bench Pullovers: 60x10, 70x7

Weigh in @ Gym: 165 lbs

Man I looked pumped today with my powerlifting shirt on. My arms were tight to my sleeves and shirt was rippled across my chest. muhahaha!!! :evillaugh Can't wait for Back & Bi's tomorrow, gonna hit the bi's harder than ever. Get them muthas ta grow.

Other: Saw "American Wedding". It was hilarious, I laughed all the way through the movie. Stifler cracks me up with his expressions. Got a hair-cut. I could swear I look bigger now that I have shorter hair...:rolleyes:
Mom said my face looks fat. My neck is as wide as my head now. All good things. I am getting "wider". Finally figured out I do have lat's, and can flex them somewhat to make a spread.
Acne is clearing up on face, but gathering a meeting on my back to decide when to hit the face again.
My boss asked me the other day what I do for my traps. I guess he thought they looked kinda big or something. Woohoo!
Bought some more protien from GNC. Still packin in the creatine.

Need to eat more!

LMFAO! I know exactly how you feel man. I used to have horrible acne, but I have finally gotten most of it gone. I have a few here and there, but not near as bad as it used to be. If only the damn scars would go away. BTW, looking VERY strong all over.

Hey, thanks for dropping in Hercule... I'll be sure to bounce in on your journal from time to time. :) Going to hit the Back & Bi's tonight. Waiting until after rush hour (about 4-7pm) in the gym to be over. I hate waiting for a machine, bench, or cables to do my workout. Throws my concentration and heart rate all off. :rolleyes:

Man! I musta missed that tonight... I'm always looking for things on TV about lifting, too, and can never find anything. :swear: There is an amateur bodybuilding contest at our local Y in a couple of weeks, gonna try to hit that... see what the people in my division look like. Never been to one before, should be interesting. Today's workout was pretty crazy... probably the longest I've ever been in the gym. I was lifting for awhile, then my friend came in about 20 minutes later and I lifted/talked with him for about 2 hours. I was so hungry though. After that we went to Taco Bell and I tried to shut em down. Too bad my wallet wouldn't allow it.

Anyways, on to the Workout:
Back & Bi's w/ light abwork

Wide-grip Pullups: BWx10! (new PR, whatever that means), BWx7, BWx6.

Machine Pulldowns (wide-grip): 80x10, 100x10, 80x10, 80x10, 60x10 (slow reps).

Cable Rows: 80x10, 100x10

1 set of 21s on Preacher Curl Machine with 3 diff. levels. (don't remember machines name) with a 45 & 10.

BB Curl: 75x7, 75x5

Sitting DB curl: 35x10/10, 35x9/9. (yea yea I'm weak here)

1-arm DB rows: 50x10/10, 50x10/10

Shrug machine (standing): 4plx20, 6plx20, 6plx25
Shrug machine (sitting): 6plx15

Bent-over BB Rows: 125x10, 125x10, 125x10 (last set I did kinda like a jerk with the BB like I was fixing to clean it) hoping that might help shock the back a little. :p

Bent-over Machine Rows (wide-grip): 2plx10. (back was hurting a little)

Then I did assisted Pull-ups, some preacher curl thingey, another row machine, light DB curls, & other stuff I didn't remember. All of this though was done with light weight, just really to pass the time talking with my friend and watching/spotting him as he lifted.

What a Workout! Arms are DEAD. Back is sore. Maybe a little too much volume there, but I didn't INTEND it to go that way.. :rolleyes:

Weigh-in @ Gym: 164 :mad:

Diet: Decent. Took Mega Joint before I lifted to help with the pain in my elbows. Don't think it's doing a thing, but hey, it was on sale at GNC. ;) Would of been drinking a protien shake right now but we are almost out of milk, and if I drank the last of it, mom would through a fit.

Other: pretty much a normal day. Went to work at 7 a.m. got off at about 1:30p.m. and picked up scholarships and talked to my university and went and lifted. Came home late and am writing this now. Nothing extraordinary... just normal. Which I guess isn't a bad thing seeing as I could of had a worse day, but now I'm just rambling so I'm going to shut up! PEACE

Today was a nice rest day. Went to work for 6 1/2 hours and came home called a girl I haven't talked to in 2 years and went on a date with her. She's pretty hot and is going to call me tomorrow. :cool: My back is so sore! It aches all over... I need to ask that girl to massage my back! Great idea! I'll ask her tomorrow. I know she'll be more than happy to comply. Man, I'm smart. Why didn't I think of that earlier tonight. :rolleyes: Anyways... supposed to do legs tomorrow, but I'm thinking the high-volume of this split, is a little high-volume... I think I need an extra day of recovery, but we'll see how things go. Until tomorrow sweet journal... goodnight.

Did legs this morning... if that's what you want to call it. BLEH!

Squats: 135x7 (not stretched enough, left knee bothering me), 225x5 (left knee... oww), 315x6 (was going to do 10 reps but form screwed me and I took a dive on 7), 385xnothing (I put a pad on the bar for my back and it rolled over on the bar and almost down my back so I put that up and threw the pad across the weight room...), 385x2 (w/o pad, I wouldn't call this a new PB because they weren't all the way parallel), 225x5 (wth? I missed my 6th rep! My body was not ready for this this morning).

That was enough to piss me off, so I left. I'm NEVER going to do legs in the morning again. I was also physically tired so that didn't help at all either. I'm tired right now so I'm going to go take a nap before I have to go to work a 9. :redface: But on the upside, the girl situation is going better. :D

The squats are good for your weight and are at a great start, 315 x7 is respectable lbs man...I experienced this not long ago too - just be sure to warmup more - :)

Standing DB curls: 40s x 6/6. Tired from ^.

One-arm DB rows: 50x10/10 (slow reps)

Lat Raises: 30s x 10, 35s x 7, 40s x 2, 15s x 20. (did the most I could do without sacrificing form)

Seated Rows: 130x10.

Bent-over Row machine: 1pl x 10, 2 pl x 8, 1 pl +35x10, 1 pl x 10.

Shrug Machine: 4pl+50x20 (2). (pauses at top of motion)

Cable curls: 160x1(PHEW!), 120x6.

Got a little better sleep last night. About a good 7 hours. Better, need more though. Still a little drowsy. I'm going to do legs tonight. I just wanted to post up my arm measurements for later reference.

Bleh, I know... This is just one of my main focuses and I want this as a reference for later, because I'm going to start BLASTING my arms to pieces. Going to add in an Extra arm day and stretch my split. I will get other measurements hopefully later.

And a side note to the previous post, my arms finally are starting to have the rounded bottom look of a side arm flex from my triceps growing... Which is really COOL! because my arms are a lagging part of my body. Along with my shoulders.

Squats: 135x10, 225x10, 315x10, 365x4, 405x1.5!!! (I'm giving that a .5 because I did it 2 times, but the 2nd wasn't what I consider parallel) 225x10 (EXPLOSIVE)
AWESOME!

Hack Squats (immediately followed ^): 135x10, 225x7.

Standing Calve Raises: 120x10, 400x4(eek!), 190x15, 120x20, 120x15, 90x15. (blasted them suckers, they were pumped to say the least!)

Leg Curl Machine: 90x10, 110x10, 60x12.

Leg Extensions: 90x10(slow), 110x10, 290x6.

Weigh-in @ Gym: 167 lbs. :)

Other: GREAT workout... Energy and everything was pumped and ready to go for this workout. Got "FLEX" magazine with special of my man, tha austrian oak, in it. Plan on switching a little of my split around here pretty soon to include an ARMS only day. Not sure where to put it though. College starts soon, and my weight training days are on M W F. Going to throw me all off, but oh well. I hope it works out.

Diet: Awesome. Ate like a horse. Spaghetti(sp?) (TONS), Grill chicken sand., Burger, Breakfast Burrito, 50g Protien Shake... just some highlights.

Compliments today:
1. Lady that works with me (on different shifts now) saw me today and was like, "You still been working out?" I said, "yea." "you can tell."
2. When I was doing squats there were some guys watching me like, "how in the hell can a scawny guy like that lift that?" They never said that, but the looks on their faces did. :D
3. After my workout I left the gym and decided it was such a great workout that I would spoil myself with an ABB 50g Protien Monster Shake, so I went back in to the gym. Before I went in I took off my XL shirt I was wearing while lifting leaving just my beater on. My chest was pumped for some reason (maybe leg extentions? Gripping the handles?), and scrunching up my shirt. I got the shake out of the fridge they held them in and went to the counter to pay for it. The guy at the desk (a bodybuilder, probably in lightweight. SHREDDED, I mean SHREDDED) gave me a look like, "Dang boy" and kinda chuckled to himself and shook his head as he handed me the change for the drink.
4. New girl asked if I take "steroids". MUHAHAHAHA! :strong:

Legs are symetrical... arms definitely need work. Chest is my strongpoint, but I don't know how good a 42" chest is. I think Arnold had a 52" chest, so I'm only 10" away... lol. Neck is also a good point for me. Calves need work, I just started doing them about 3 weeks ago. So I'm waiting for improvement. No mass yet, just stregth and endurance.

Just in case you didn't know yet.. if you have time, I'd use www.fitday.com to count your calories, it's essential in weight gain. I think we have the same body type (I'm 5'11", was 150, now 172), so eat eat eat eat.. and keep eating! I was thinking about trying to get to 200 like you, but I was wondering if I'd just be lard. Hmmm... if you get there first, let me know. :) Bench is very impressive for your size, lot more than me!!

I know about how much I eat a day. I know if I didn't eat enough of something because my body tells me. I know when I didn't get enough sleep because my strength will show it. I have a mental calorie/protien/carb counter. haha. I don't know what I'm talking about now so I think I'm going to go to bed :p.

Just want to add a progress marker in here. It's ALMOST been 1 month since I started this journal and my gains are...

Squat: 50 lbs. :D
Bench: 5-15 lbs. maybe?
Weight: 7-8 lbs.
Biceps: .5" (mind you that I just started hitting my arms harder than ever)
Legs: I didn't measure before, but they must of grown at least .5 each. Much more powerful.
Pullup Strength: much stronger

Going to keep putting these in every month to see where I'm making progress. Back & Bi's today.

Wide-grip Pullups: BWx5, BWx3. (arms are dead at this point)

1-arm DB Rows: 50x10/10 (slow & controlled), 70x10/10 (same)

Hammerstrength Lat Isolator Pulldown: 50x10, 90x10, 140x10.
First time every used this machine... I likey. Good flex on the lats

Pulldowns (wide-narrow): 120x10, 90x10, 110x10, 110x20(narrow). slow reps, nice and easy.

Seated Row Machine: 80x10, 60x10, 60x10. (slow with pause or static hold at each rep)

Standing DB curls: 30s x failure, 20s x failure, 15s x failure.

Woo I was pumped after this workout, looked like a beast walking through the gym. Didn't go real heavy on the back today, just working on flexing the lats and finding out how to hit them the hardest. I figure if I can flex the lats by moving a certain way harder then I can flex my lats while posing and get a better workout overall. Lat spread is coming along nicely ;). Need to get some pictures up.

Weigh-in @ gym: 166 lbs.

Diet: not too bad. shoulda ate more I think.

Other: Didn't get any sleep last nite. 3.5 hours. School starts tomorrow. Tomorrow's supposed to be my leg day, but I have weight training so I don't know what I'm going to do. But I'm tired right now I think I'll go take a nap... Good nap for a good rest day.

Other: I did this workout in between classes at college. First day was today. This workout almost didn't happen, but I figured I might as well try to get it out of the way. This will mean I've been dedicated and not missed a workout day on my split routine for about 3 months now. :) Went to my "weight training" class today and was VERY disappointed. I think I'm going to drop the class completely. The Trainer is an overweight assistant basketball coach with nothing better to do then sit around making money while giving people a sheet of exercises to workout on. He was describing the class to everyone and he was like, "We will be doing all of our exercises on machines, no FREE WEIGHTS." I was like WTF!? So I talked to him after he was done with the class and was like, "so we aren't going to be using any free weights?" He replied with, "nope, and if you don't like it, I suggest you drop the class and take something else." SOOOO, that's exactly what I'm thinking about doing. Going to take bowling or drop the class completely to give me enough time to go do my own workout at Gold's. Was very pissed about this today. Tuesday/Thursday classes better be better...

Anyway, yesterdays arm workout was pretty nice although I don't remember much of it.

Workout:
Arms (tri's, bi's)

Skulls: 65x10, 85x5, 65x10. (think I did another set in there. Don't know why I was so weak here, maybe I should of warmed up more.

Standing Tricep Extentions: 85x10, 85x9. yea yea

Tricep Pressdowns (t-bar): 60x10, 80x6, 60x8.

BB Curls: 75x4, 95x5, 75x8, 75x7, 75x5.

Low-Incline DB curls: 30x10/10, 25x10/10, 25x7/7.
I always start with my left arm on these now, since it seems to be the one lagging the last thing I want to do is overtrain my right arm into growing more. I think my left arm curling strength is finally starting to catch up with my right.... I think.

Then I did some one-arm cable curls, t-bar curls, and some more tricep pushdowns... If anything, this was a good pump session.. :p My arms are weak, and they will grow... whether they like it or not.

Weigh-in @ gym: 167 lbs (didn't eat much before this, this is pretty much my weight) I'm sure I could come in at 170+ if I ate a lot and drank more water like I normally do.

Diet: Very good after workout. Diet has seemingly been pretty good this past week, we'll see how it turns out tomorrow at the gym.

Other: College sucks. I dropped the gay "weight training class for sissies 101" (what they should of called it), and didn't pick up an extra PE, although I wanted Bowling. Classes are hard and teachers are stupid. (well not stupid, you konw what I mean) <--typo there, too lazy to go back, getting tired. The girl situation is going quite well. :D :D
OH, and what pissed me off about the weight training is, not only did they PROHIBIT the use of free weights, they do full body workouts every day which is CRAP!!! I asked the dude teaching the class, "why do you work every bodypart everyday, wouldn't that lead to overtraining of some of the muscles, or make is hard to isolates different areas of the body?" He simply replied back with, "problem?" So I simply said, "whatever" and walked out of the class and immediately dropped the class. ANYWAYS... Need to get some sleep... Big CHEST day tomorrow.

Well didn't get my goal weight, but that's not bad for not doing deads. If my form was a little better I think I might of pulled 365 on the 1st attempt. Oh well... this should go up.

This is more than 100... this is just setting 10. I thought that it went by incriments of 10 lbs, but I was wrong. I did a regular pulldown machine with "real" weight numbers on it and 140 felt like 100 on this machine.

One-arm DB rows: 50x10/10, 75x8/8, 100x4/4.

Seated Rows: 70x10. (slow)

Shrug machine: 4pl+50x10 (2) slow reps.

Hammerstrength Lat Isolator: 140x10, 180x5, 90x12.

Think that's about it... was a quick workout had a friend from NM with me in the gym and we later went outback were I stuffed myself with a 12 oz. sirloin, mashed potatoes, ceaser salad, fries, and about 5 glasses of coke.

Diet: ehh...

Weigh-in @ gym: 164 lbs :( Before I went to outback.... note- this is good motivation for stuffing yourself.

OH! And nobody yet knows about my fabulous car stereo... I'm a car audio fanatic... My system consists of:
2 Kicker Solobaric L7s(12's), Big ported box, 2 optima red top batteries, all 4 ga Stinger wiring, Alpine 9498 Mp3 player (w/ V-drive), and the all powerful Memphis ST1500d's (2).

Muhahahaha! Well I blew my speakers recently and are being shipped back for brand new ones atm. For right now I just threw my DD3500 10" and a ported box in there and took out one of my amps. I love the way that DD sounds in there. Definitely not as loud as me 12's, but definitely puts out more bang than the average stereo bumper being that it has 1500+ watts on it. Selling my 12's and thinking of going with 1 Solo X. That should be interesting. :rolleyes:

Also spent time with girl. She is so cool! I think I really like this one. Ate steak at her house for dinner. Picked up her friend and watched "Goldmember" at her house. I love that movie... Scott cracks me up when he does his "evil laugh" (muhaha, muHAHA, MUHAHAHAHA!). Funniest part in movie...

I probably would of gotten 425 but strength was down from doing 315 really slow 10x. I was trying to concentrate on form. Probably should of done a set of 365.

Leg Extensions: 130x10, 220x10 (ooo, feel the burn), 290x5(<--same).
I love watching my quads explode at full rom. :evillaugh

Leg curls: 110x10, 130x5, 80x10.

Calve Raises: 120x10, 100x10/10, 220x10, 270?x5.

Last 3 exercises were done by going from machine to machine inbetween sets.

Anyway, today's workout was a quick one. (about 50 min.) I didn't have much time because I had to come home and get ready for work, which I have to leave in like 5 minutes so I'm going to type this up as fast as I can..

Workout:
Chest/shoulders

Bench: 185x5, 225x8(last was forced, but I almost had it alone), 245x2, 255x1, 225x4, 135x10(wide).
Strength was gone after that 225 struggle at beginning... was going for 9. Oh well.

seated fly machine: Stack(200)x6, Stackx4, 100x10.
Last set I leaned forward as if I was doing incline flys. :rolleyes:

Military DB presses: 40x10, 60x8! woo!, 35x10, 40x10.
These are getting stronger, especially after doing a hard bench WO. Nice form overall. Last sets were done superslow.

Flat Bench DB flys: 40x10. Slow, arms extended as far as possible. Down to horizontal and back up 4/5ths to parallel. Don't know why I said 4/5ths, but it was just enough to keep strain on the pecs.

DB Shrugs: 85x20, 95x20.
Was going to do more, but was short on time as I am now I need to get to work!

Weigh-in @ gym: 165 AHHH!!! I need to eat more, I only had a tuna sandwich today! AHH!

Other: nada. I'll add that in tonight.

your strength is pretty admirable at your body weight. i remember going to a powerlifting competition and seeing a guy my age pause bench 275 at about ~165, which was pretty darn impressive. nice job on the squats too, maybe you'll hit a 3xbw squat in the future :thumbup:

Back/shoulders

Deadlift: 135x5, 225x5, 335x2, 355x1!(PR), 375x0(got too greedy :D), 375x0(yea), 315x1+5 foot walk to rack.
Guy came up to me saying I was doing these wrong. He was watching me and told me that when I was attempting 375, my form was HORRIBLE... like my butt went up right at the beginning of the lift and my legs did nothing. Like I could barely lift the weight off the ground. So basically all of these were SLDL's. Next time I'm going to do these with just socks because he said my shoes have too much heel in them causing me to lean forward.

Static holds: 405 for about 25 seconds. pathetic I know, just trying to get my weak grip strength up.

Pullups: BWx10(overhand & underhand), BW+25x6(regular)!, BW+25x3(overhand), BWx5(wide).

One-arm DB Rows: 60x10/10, 60x10/10

X-bench Pullovers: 60x10

Seated Cable Rows: 80x10, 100x8, 130x7, 90x8.

Bent over Back extensions?: BW+25x10, x10.

Bunch of grip work and that was a wrap.

Weigh-in @ gym: 166 lbs. Hadn't eatten but a sausage biscuit from McDonald's.

Other: Rear-ended someone today. It was rainy and slick and my ABS locked up. did nothing to my car, but dented the 2002 Dakotas bumper pretty good.

Yea, and I used to know what PR's felt like on bench. But that was like about 3-4 months ago. :( Since then, I've gained almost 20 lbs, and my bench is still stagnant. It's pitiful.

HOLY LEG DAY... I love em... I love em! I think my legs (my quads at least) are starting to come one of the best features on my body.

Workout:
Legs/abs

Leg Presses (Cyberg? machine): 2plx5, 4plx5, 6plx5, 8plx5, 10plx5, 12plx3!, 8plx5, 6plx7, 2plx10.
Let me note that these were all done with perfect form with my knees touching my chest everytime to get FULL ROM on each set (even on the heavy weight, I was surprised...). My legs looked like tree trunks while doing these. Looked almost like a freak with the 12 plates on there.

Standing Calve Raises: 200x10, 200x10.
nice 'n slow.

One-Leg Ham curls: 90x5/5, 150x5/5, 140x6/7, 90x6/8.
Nice sets, great sets. Left Hammy's a little stronger.

Calve Rotation Machine: 220x10, 500x5(ouchy, thats the stack + an added weight btw), 220x8.

Leg Extentions: LOTS of weight, LOTS of sets. Don't remember how it went. My teardrops were really crying here.

Butt Blaster: 75x12/12, 100x10/10.

Hanging Leg raises: 3 sets of 15.

Talk about walking funny after this workout. Thought I was going to fall down walking out to my car.

Weigh-in @ gym: 166 In.

Diet: sad really. I really need to start eatting more. All I'm doing right now is maintaining. My abs have come back though, so I know my BF is dropping.

Other: Selling my car finally! For $4500. I think I could of gotten more out of it, but oh well. Lookin to buy a nearly new Civic Hatch or Ford Focus Hatch. Was looking at a '94 Vette today... "I'm a dreamer... dreaming my life away"-Ozzy. Girl I was talking to is now my Girlfriend, I just hope she doesn't take away from my fun time at the gym... Or I'll drop her like a bad habbit. lol.

She was asking me if I was obsessed with weightlifting because I go a lot I guess, I was like no... "if I was obsessed I'd never miss 2 days in a row." Which I don't. :D Also, I went to a family party over at my parents friend's house, and the dad I usually worked out with at my old gym was asking, "how come I never see you in the gym anymore?" I was like, "because I go to Gold's now". My dad was also out there while we were talking. The other guy said, "well there is a bit more eye-candy out there," talking to my dad. My dad replied with, "well I don't think he's there for all of that, he's there for serious business, right?" talking to me. I said, "That's right, although that is always a plus. :D"

Dude, girls are trouble. Me and my girl got into it last night. We were in her room, and I somehow ended up with my shirt off :scratch: :angel:. Anyways, her exact words were 'OMG, how big are you going to get?'. She said my back is too big, along with my traps, but she likes the gunz :rolleyes:. Then we started arguing about me possibly taking steroids in college. We argued for like half an hour. Friendly arguement, however, no feelings hurt.

We had a party for my Grandmother's 60th B-day, and one of my cousins that I have never met before asked me how old I was, and I said 15, and he said, 'damn, you look like you're in college. You're freakin huge, you play football?' Its always nice to get noticed like that :D.

Yea, not much here but the rest of the WO makes up for this.

EZ-bar Standing Curls: 105x3, 105x5, 105x4.5<--giving this a .5 because I cheated a little bit.

BB Curls: 45x10, 95x4, 95x5, 85x9.
I guess I just build up steam as I'm lifting. I don't know why some of my reps go up after the first set.

Standing Behind-tha-back, Close-grip tricep extensions(*lol*): 105x10, 105x8.

T-bar Tricep Pushdowns: 50x10, 70x8, 90x0, 50x10.

Military DB press: 60x10.
Military BB press: 105x11.
On these, me and my friend were competing. he did 10 reps so I did 11, on the DB's he did 7 reps so I did 10. :D And my friend has some huge arms. (prolly about 17" and he weighs 5-7 lbs lighter than me)

One-arm DB Preachers: 20x10/10, 40x1/2(joke), 30x4/4, 30x4/4, 30x7/10.
If your wondering why my curls went up, it's because of adrenaline. I made a bet with my friend that I could do more than him. (I didn't, but I put up a good fight... lol) I think he did 30x10/15.

Concentrations: 25x10/10, 25x10/10, 40x5/6.

Cable tricep work... Machine Tricep/Bicep work... and instructed my friend how to properly do Pulldowns and explained how to get the most out of your wings while doing them.

Weigh-in @ gym: 166 In. I hadn't eatten anything since lunch and this is at about 10:30 pm. Right now I just ate some spaghetti O's. And fixing to find something else and drink a protien shake.

Other: Went looking for cars... Test-drove 2003 Toyota Matrix RX (5-speed), and 2004 Toyota Matrix RXS (6-speed). Liked neither of the 2. :( I think I'm going to go with something older that I can pay off really quick. My dad has an '88 Bronco that I might buy from him, and there's a '92 Civic CX that I could buy from a friend... Hmm :rolleyes:

Good rest day. Found out if I get that Civic, a friend of mine has some FLAWLESS 17"s with low profile tires and an extra 2 tires he'll sell me altogether for $500. And they're ENKIES! AHH! I gotta have em... they are definitely show quality. Right now they're sitting on his Jetta with bags, ground effects, awesome SQ system, and all the upgrades you can think of. He's going to 18"s. I gotta have that Civic! Tomorrow is chest day, I think I have a mental block of getting anything heavier on the bench or something. Something isn't working out, I'm going to have to change something. Oh well. I'm going to the gym tomorrow with a badass attitude, so we'll see what happens. :D

wow... I think that's all I did today. Took a long time though. inbetween bench sets I rested about 2 min. each besides the 2 warm-up sets. Had an incredible pump today after the workout. My chest/delts were puffed out, triceps slightly pumped, and my 7-pack :p was showing through nicely. When i was in the locker room I stood in front of the mirror for awhile doing my fav. Ah-nuld poses. That made me happy. If I could keep that pump though, man... I'd be a monster.

Weigh-in @ gym: 167 lbs.

Diet: Not so bad... ate a lot today for a change.

Other: There was this guy doing bench next to me repping 275 and it was making me sick how easily he was putting up the weight. Even though he was an older/bigger dude, it still made me feel like I'd never get there. I just havein't been seeing any gains lately. My arms are starting to come along though. I know my BB curl max is higher than that 111 I have up there right now.

My car is being sold tomorrow. I gutted the whole system today, took about 3 hours. :eek: But I'm ready for her to go. Can't wait to get me a lil' Civic.

Lat Isolator Machine Pulldowns: 90x10, 110x10, 150x10, 200x5, 90x10(S L O W).

Machine Pulldowns(no-strength): 50x10, 140x2, 100x10. (all OH-wide grips)

Trap machine work: 2plx20, 4plx20, x20, x20.
Traps were pretty burnt out after this... as well as grip.

Ab blah...

Weigh-in @ gym: 167 In.

Diet: Doing pretty good... as always need more.

Other: Saw something that disturbed me pretty badly today. A naked guy in the locker room. Old and naked. Now I have no problem with guys dressing out in the locker room, but that Just something I don't wanna see. I've encountered this before a couple of weeks back, and it's haunting me. I don't really want to go in the locker/bathroom anymore.

ALSO, I sold my car. Now I'm walking around on these massive legs. I could use the calf work anyway... :p Nah, but really I'm supposed to be getting an older Civic CX, here pretty soon. :D

Thanks bro. But I've been wanting a Hatchback for ALONG time now with a 5-speed, something that will make my system the loudest around. I don't think I'll have much of a problem with that once I get this all fixed up and pertied.

I probably would put it towards something newer, but I need something that I only pay liability on, because full-coverage is killing me. I need ta make some money. That ol' 6 buck an hour down at the Sonic, really ain't cuttin' it. Even though I do work 30-40 hours a week. :rolleyes:


Today was a rest day... well it was supposed to be, then I felt like jumpin in the gym for a little while, because I got bored inbetween my class break.

Workout consisted of some heavy lat raises, cable raises, little cable curling, cable pressing. Not much, but did really go hard on the shoulders today. I think I got the best burn out of them I could. On my arms, I just was giving them a warm-up of whats to come in 2 days. :evillaugh

I did a bunch of sets on DB lat raises, but I think it went like this...

20x10, 30x10, 40x10(not bad form either, I was impressed), 35x10, 25x10, 15x10(with a little rotation.

Then I did about the same on front raises... and a few sets of inclined lat raises. (laying on bench backward) Trying to get these boys ta grow. If I get these wide, I should have a well-balanced body. Aside from my calves. My wings are really coming out. I flexed them today for my mom, and she was like, "geez, your gonna fly away!" I was like, "Oh you just wait." I love parental support. :D

Tomorrow is supposed to be LEG day... but I'm going to be in a tri-athlon event composed of: Flag Football, Basketball, and Volleyball... where there's no age limit and the church is putting on the tornament(ack, it's late I don't know if I spelled that right). My team has my best friend(Big guns), another guy I work with, his brother, and some other dude. I was talking some major smack today to someone else that I work with that's on an opposing team. Should be really fun. I can't wait. Also, tomorrow I"m going to see my girl, and try to get that Civic with my mama. :D My day is booked! Hopefully I can hit the gym later tomorrow night...

Oh yea, and I'm going to stomp on Hercule's squatting. :evillaugh
We have a box there, I'm not sure if it's a 14" box, but I'll bring a tape measurer. I doubt I'll hit much higher than 315 for reps.

I figured I've been cycled off of it for about 2 months now, and gains are almost none, I should cycle it in again with my diet. I'm also going to get some new creatine, (just some regular ol' 5 gram GNC creatine) since my last experience with Pinacle "Juiced Creatine" was horrible to say the least.

Looks like I can't back up my smack talking after all... this is the first time I've tried ATF Squats, and they totally kicked my ace. I used a 12" box instead of the 14", because I couldn't find one. Man oh man, looks like Herc will be winning this bet.

Box Squats (12"): 135x10, 225x4, 225x4, 245x0.
I really don't know what happened here. I'd get down to parallel, and to go any further down my back bent down along with it. Something with my knees or something. I say this was 60% legs & 40% Back... Yea, THAT bad. Felt like one of those Chinese Powerlifters that like squat to the floor... It was crazy. Another thing here. My bud with the big arms was here watching me and he decided to jump in on the 135 lbs squatting... He did 4 reps and called it a day.

Smith ATF Squatting (legs 1' in front): 135x10, 225x10, 275x5(right here, the bar started sliding back and forth and it was feeling unstable. I decided that was enough squatting for today.

I was pretty mad at this point in the WO to say the least.

Lunges: 50 lbs to failure. (and this was A LOT... cannot describe the burn in the booty after this)

Standing Calve Raises: 140x20, 240x10, 140x10, 140x10. (slow slow on the last sets) Biggest pump I've ever gotten in my calves with this set of sets.

Leg Curls: 110x10, 50x20.

Leg Extensions: 110x20. (end of workout)
I would of normally done 10 right here, because my legs were dead. But I pushed through the pain like a madman and busted out 10 more solid reps. I almost fell down after this, but caught my self on another machine.

Weigh-in @ gym: Didn't weigh. Too pissed off about the squatting.

Other: Tanned after my workout for 15 minutes. Still haven't gotten another car. Driving my dad's Bronco around for now. I need to change something. Need to go to a push/pull routine or something. Something's not working out! I can't Take it! AHAHAHAHAHHHH. sorry. :cry:

Switching to strength Program. Doing Pull/Push/Legs/rest Split. Going to give myself 1 day of rest before this program tomorrow... Then I'm gonna hit it and try it out. Gotta Increase Bench and Squat strength. This will allow me to hit the muscles more frequently than with my last split... legs/arms/rest/chest/back/rest.

Good luck on the new program! I think that using smaller increments (like 10-15 lbs) on your bench and deadlift might help with progression. Adding 40 lbs to what I lifted last week NEVER works for me!

I'm just now catching up on the last week of posts, and it's weird how differently everyone reacts when you put on size. My Mom's been really encouraging, and a lot of my college friends have pointed out that I'm looking more muscular. My girlfriend, of course, had to point out that I got a little "chunkier" over the summer. :rolleyes:

Ah, hard huh? Close stance is a FAR cry from wide PL style. On keeping from bending over, when you squat, make sure that your elbows are UNDER the bar, this will help utilize the lats, also arch your back like mad. This should help you. Good luck man :).

Scott S: Thanks for the tip, I've always heard that you have to add more weight so your muscles don't get used to pressing the same amount of weight. Like if I was to do 185 and up the weight to 195, my muscles wouldn't notice much of a change that's why you have to make big jumps. Not that I'm trying to argue with you, but I've always been taught this way. Maybe I'm wrong? I might need to change my ways. :rolleyes:

Back & Bi's with not enough time to hit Bi's. :swear:

Deads: 135x10, 225x5, 365x1!, 385x0(haha), 315x3, 315x1 w/ walk to rack.
Woohoo. lifted these sumo/conventional. Right in the middle seems to be a sweet spot for me. Even though the weights aren't that sweet. :rolleyes: I also lifted these w/o my shoes on and w/o a belt. I smell 8 plates in a couple of weeks!

Pullups: BWx12!, BW+25x4.5.
Wide-grip: BWx7

Cable Rows (triangle handle): 100x10, 120x8(too much weight, using bad form), 70x13.

Cable Rows (T-bar, OH): 110x4, 70x10.
I like these. I will add these as a priority next time.

Lat-ISO Pulldowns: 90x10, 140x10(really had to work to get those last reps in)

Talk about a pumped back.
Too bad I didn't have enough time to hit the Bicep's. Well I did... but I thought my GF was going to meet me a McD's and she never showed up, so I could of stayed and lifted longer. :confused:

Weigh-In @ gym: Haven't been weighing lately, trying to surprise myself.

Diet: Reasonable. I plan to really start bulking and cycling creatine/protien shakes after the 1st of October. Start my hibernation.

Other: Supposed to be using this time for research in my English class, but instead here I am. I wanted to post my WO before I forgot it though. Still haven't got my Civic! AHHH... I'm going to call them after I get out of school today. This is ridiculous. Although driving a 2002 Suburban & 1988 Bronco w/ rebuilt 358cu. motor isn't that bad. :D

This is also the beginning of my new Pull/Push/Legs split. Push tomorrow. I think I'm going to try to get home and hit some curls to finish off my Bi's. Going heavy on bench tomorrow. Got some technique's I want to try.

I've never tried deads without shoes. How is the traction? I personally don't care for a belt on deads. I tried one about a month back and it just felt weird. I've been giving max effort on them for over a year now and haven't ever experienced any problems for not using a belt.

ryan1117: Traction was fine for me. Just used socks and was on weight lifting rubber that the gym has. You know that hard rubber stuff. Anyway, yea, I didn't notice much of a difference with the belt on/off. Just when it was bent over the belt kinda pinched my stomach, which I didn't like. I didn't use shoes because I had a fella last week (my 2nd attempt at deads) telling me that I had bad form because of my shoes. He said the heels in my shoes were too high and I needed a flatter surface to lift on. (caused me to lean forward and so forth) So at first I tried putting a towel underneath the toes of my shoes, but that didn't work to well because I had trouble with balance. With just socks everything went pretty fine and dandy. I couldn't tell a difference other than I had better balance pulling off the bottom.

And just for the record, 365 went up easily, and 385 stuck at the top, I just couldn't roll my back in to place. I hate that crap! :D

Chest tomorrow. I'm going to do a warm-up with 135 and throw 290 on there if I can find a spotter. Gotta get up to Herc's standards... :p

I also took some pictures today... Lots of wierd poses... lol. I did an Atlas pose squated down with one leg and arm pointing one direction (pain!), Back Lat spread, Back double Bi, Front MM, Arnold side-pose, Leg shot, Front right bicep w/ one hand behind fully flexed. As soon as they get back, I'll upload them here so everyone can see how truely buff I am. :rolleyes:

All these pictures were taken in my popcorn boxers, too so it should be cool. I'm hoping my lat spread looks alright, I've never seen it... :D

Other: Probably going to look at car today. $800 for as is, and I have to replace fuel-pump and U-joint. Not bad I don't think... probably going to pick it up today or tomorrow. Raining like mad out here. My friend is having great success with "Metacell" so I think I'm going to try it.
OOO! And also, I was driving my dad's bronco yesterday (with the rebuilt engine) and there was this 240Z with dual 4" exhaust coming out the back with some engine upgrade stickers and rims on it. We were at a light and he took off fast (I wasn't expecting a race), and I hammered down on ol' Billy. The flowmaster's roared as I caught the rice-rocket, but didn't beat him because I slowed down at 55 mph. Hadn't we been in a 45 I would of taken him. Lol... it was funny. That 240z sounded pretty good, too. I was also on the phone at the time, and wasn't really paying attention at the light, or else I would spanked him all around... haha

Other: Got the car, got the rims, got the system in it. Bangin out 141.8 db's with 1 10" DD. Not bad, not bad. Can't wait til I get all 4 of those babies in there. Found out it's really really slow. Got beat by an Extended cab Chevy long bed with a V-6. (probably a Vortec, but still!) Rims look just amazing on it. Transformed the Ricer 100%. Exhaust next. Maybe I'll get some pictures of it. :) Need to go do a chest workout. I might post it later tonight.

DB flys: 40x10. Arms extended. Didn't do many more of these.

Tricep Pressdowns(v-bar): 60x10, 70x10, 90x5, 60x11.

Took a 45 and did overhead extentions with it until I couldn't lift it over my head anymore then that was it.

Weigh-in @ gym: 167. Not bad, considering I have been weighing less.

Diet: Getting better... Ate more today.

Other: Putting on dual exhaust tomorrow on the beast with Camaro chrome tips. Hopefully I'll get a picture of my car and put it on here for y'all ta check out. It's pretty bad lemme tell ya, for under 2 grand. :)
My back is definitely getting to be quite the beast, I was just messing around on the dip thingey with a 75 strapped to me, (which is also the pullup thingey, and tried to do a pullup and almost did it! I couldn't believe it. Feels like my back is very powerful compared to when I first really started doing chins and rows really hard.
Triceps are growing. Getting some bigger arms now.. Going to measure next week. :D

lol... Thanks CoCoa. And it is sweet! Got exhaust yesterday and the tips went out a little further than I wanted them, so I went back today, had them redo them to fit 1/2" flush with my bumper, and also added 2 1/2" piping to the headers taking the resonator out. (it's much louder now) Not REALLY REALLY annoying loud, but loud and deep... exactly how I wanted it. it's a blast to drive now with a little more bottom end. I guess that factory muffler was choking it.

Did a leg workout yesterday.

Squats (little lower than normal): 135x10, 225x10, 275x8, 325x5.

Leg Presses (sled): 2plx10, 4plx5, 6plx5, 8plx5, 6plx10!<--- don't ask me where this came from. All all the way down to the chest and up.

Standing calve Raises: 160x10, 260x10, 160x15.

Did a set of "21's" on the Strive Preacher curl machine.

howdy howdy... It's been awhile, and I've had a lot of drama go on in my life the past few days. Did manage to throw a pull and push workouts in there though. I don't remember everything about them, so I'll just put highlights that I do remember.

Workout:
Pull

Pullups(norm): BW+25 x 8.5!!! (woohoo, this is my fav. back exercies now), BW+25 x 6... and other sets I don't remember.

7 sets of wide Lat pulldowns... yea. blasting them outer lats. I swear they grow everytime I workout.

HS Pulldowns, 2 sets.

DB Rows, 2 sets.

BB curls: 85x5??

Lots of other sets, curls, lots of pulling exercises. Did some actual T-bar rows also.

Workout:
Push

BP: 135x10, 185x5, 225x6, 205x7. bleh
Going to try to focus on the higher range reps, maybe I'll gain some more strength, this is pathetic. Like in the 8-12 rep range.

Blasted triceps on about every exercise you could think of.

Weight: still around 166-7

Other:
good: Put Solobaric 12 L7 in my car and hooked it up to one of my 1500s. Hit a 146.2. Looking to hit 150s when I get my other 12 in there.

bad: Went on double-date with on of my friend and GF. Went great until we went to a concert and she was up front right in front of the lead singer like staring him down and whispering with her friend. I got jealous needless to say and was put in a bad mood. After that we were walking to my car and she was bragging about how great the concert was and how happy she was and KNEW that I was pissed off. She was doing that just to piss me off. And she's very concieted so she was like, "I guess your going to drop me off and not hang out anymore with me tonight, huh?" (I hadn't said anything) And I was like, "yea, I guess so." "Okay, well I had a great time.." (I'm thinking, 'okay? I heard you the first 200 times?') So we were in my car, (with her friend) and she started asking me what my problem is (like she has to impress her friend or something), and I was like "I don't have a problem..." (I didn't want to argue with her in front of her friend. Then she told me how much fun she had again with a big smile on her face. So I kinda blew up... "What's with the attitude?" I said. "I don't have an atti.." "Lose it!" I was pissed. Then she said, "Well if you want to you can drop us off now and you'll never have to talk to me again..." Stopped the car, "get out." So they got out and my friend dropped them off at her house. She called me like 5 times later that night wanting to know why I was acting so weird. I was mad and I didn't ever want to talk to her again. She ended up crying on the phone the last time I talked to her, and I was being really rude. Now I feel like $hit, because I care for her more than I thought I did last night, and I'm going to try to make it better today. Hopefully she'll call me back like she said she would 10 miinutes ago.. We didn't talk for long, she said she had to go to work. (now if she went to work or not, I'll never know)

BB rows: 45x10... lol Just getting the feeling of them :p

CG pulldowns: 170x1, 110x5... tired tired.

Weigh-In @ gym: 167, leaning to 168! :D

Other: This was a really long workout. All by myself in the gym, literally. Went at about midnight.

Skipped measuring this month, going to save it for next month or even longer after that, I want to wait until I at least put on a few lbs. Start of October I'm cycling in some creatine and drinking TONS of water and eat like a horsey. Going to take around a gallon jug everywhere I go. I want to swell up this winter. I'm in a bulking race with RuLess to 195. Going to make sure it's not all fat though, I'm going to be hitting the weights like crazy along with protien and glutimine. I'm going to be on a strict diet of eatting everything in site in increments of 2 hours. I'll prolly burn out on food, but I'm going to push myself.

Bought a $150 18v Drill today from Black & Decker. Actually it was like $137 but with tax, and carry the 2... Anyway it's freakin bad@$$. It's the first tool, I've ever bought myself and it feels pretty good. It will help me build many of stereo boxes in the future. I also picked up 2 sheet of MDF, I have 2 boxes on order right now. I'll have to go back later to pick up the 1" MDF for my competition box for 4 10's.

Girl never called like she said she would. I'm going to forget her. It's kinda painful when something doesn't work out. But I know I can find others. :cry: :(

I didn't get to the gym in time today. It was already done by the time I got finished building a box for 1 Solo 12". Hooked it up to my 1500 watt amp though, and MAN does that thing POUND. It hits low, too. People at Sonic got mad at me, because when I was pulling off I turned it up really loud. One of the girls ran up to the window and was pointing down to turn it down, and acting like she was screaming at me. I gave her the peace sign, smiled, and slowly drove away not touching the volume. :D

Back tomorrow... geez.

Improvement from last time :). Started with Left hand as always, right hand actually couldn't get the 4th rep... I was surprised.

BB curl: 45x20 Just messing around.

Wide-grip Pulldowns (Cybex): 80x10, 80x15, 110x5(almost as much weight as me...:rolleyes:), 100x6.
Norm Pulldowns (Cybex): 150x1 Had to be close to 180-200. I don't get these Cybex machines... why don't they just put the real weight on there... this isn't helping me... *whine whine whine* :bash:

Are you gonna get a high output alternator? That was the stopping point for me on my old vehicle. I have more capability on my Jeep's alternator, but the damn thing is only giving me 13.9 volts. I had to wave bye-bye to 200 watts RMS over the lower voltage. I used to get 1000@14.4 volts, but now only get 800. I'd love to get a monster sized class D amp, but my subs can't be wired to get the most out of one.

Diet: Good I guess. I need to go eat something. This is the beginning of my creatine cycle. I don't know if that affected my pull-ups or not, but they seemed to be pretty strong that first set. Drinking a gallon of water.

Other: Caught some guys checkin out my ride while I was at lunch. I was inside Popeyes eatting my Po-Boy Sammich, and there were 3 army dudes checkin' out my car. One of them was looking really close at my rims and pointing and talking to the other guys. That made me feel proud. I've never had anything that people actually looked at longer than 3 seconds. :) Car show tomorrow I want to go to. My car is in nowhere near the shape I want it to be to enter, but I'm going to go to check out the other rides to see what they got on me. ;)

Since I hit every muscle my back twice a week anyway, I save deadlifts for the 2nd Back workout. (doing them every other back day) Saves my lower back a little for the Leg day so I can hit some squats harder, and after I do deads, I can do like leg presses or something for the other leg workout.

Gives my routine a little variety. Besides I need some more upper back strength to rock that weight back. I can get it up to mid-thigh but not any further on the really heavy sets.

I know I've gained strength everytime we do a little competition like that because it pushes me harder than every because I want so badly to be the best and he's like a little crick in my neck to keep me going so it works out well. Kinda like the ol' BB days with Arnold, Draker, Ferringo, & Franco all battling it out. ;) And yes it's great when I win, but he often beats me on the arms portion of it all. :cry:

Didn't get to the gym today. Stayed out too late last night with the guys and a couple of girls not having any fun and being bored so I came back home. A cool thing that happened the other night is when I was sitting up at the local gas station waiting for my friends to take their showers and meet me up there to go to the boathouse... I was talking with an old friend that I hadn't seen in awhile that works at that gas station. He was cleaning off the front sidewalk and there were these 5 dudes in like a stratus with their system up. (obviously there to buy beer) My friend told me to get in my car and show them what a real system is supposed to sound like..... So I did. I bumped it hard for about 5 seconds and shut her off. The other car got quiet as a buzzed white guy leaned out the window, "What kinda amp you got in dere, cuz you just blew us away!" haha. That was cool.

Also, I'm getting good at double-clutching my car in 1st gear. Seems to help take-off a bit in this 4-cyl, 4-gear, 4-tire rice animal.

wow it did! Just figuring out how to use my scanner. I don't know how to cut off edges and stuff but yea.

That is last april when I had my car in the sound-off competition. One where I placed 3rd in SS 601+. As you might be able to tell I hit 153.9 db's with my system in my '00 Taurus.

Also it was the loudest score of the day and so some of those people were a little shocked. It was cool. As soon as I get my flexing poses back they will be posted ASAP. :)

Friend made comment here that I should of played football because I have alot of power down low. I didn't think the weight was all that impressive, but hey... it's a compliment, and I'll take it. ;) BTW, both of my friends could not complete one rep like this with 155. *SCORE*

Leg Curl Machine: 100x10, 90x10, 80x9.8

Standing Calf-Raises: 200x15, 140x30.

Calf Rotary Machine: 110x65, 110x50.
competition with friends... closest was 110x50. I win yet again. :thumbup:

DB Military's: 45x10, 55x10.
Right here I made fun of 2 trainers there that were making loud noises while Front Raising 40's. I took my 45's and did about 5 making loud noises. I don't think they heard me, but my friends got a kick out of it.

Military machine Press: 205x5.
Here the trainers were again. I just wanted to see if I could do the weight he was doing. I don't know how many reps he got it, but I did. 5th rep was extremely slow.

Walking BB Lunges: 95x10 or so.
People were giving me wierd looks. Guess it was because I was walking around in like a 10 ft. circle because I didn't have much room.

Was going to do some hip abductor exercises but the girlees were taking them up again as usual. One girl just sat on one talking to a guy doing absolutely no exercises at all. I wanted to throw a 50 lb. DB at her head. (Of course I'd have to be standing within about 5 ft. because I couldn't throw it that far, but still)

Diet: Crap. I've felt like crap all day. Did drink a protein shake.

Other: I'm tired, I need sleepy.

This is just another *bump* to get everyone ready for a spectacular back day that will occur tomorrow night. It will be the first back day since I've cycled in some creatine so look out for some new PR on the deads. I plan to go with deads this time again and try to go heavier. Looking for at least 375. I think I can use mindpower to get that up... 385-405 would be a better goal... but I don't know if I'm ready for that yet. ;)

Again, I'm just ranting and my pics should be coming back soon... So everybody can see what an "Extremely Good Looking" guy I really am. :D

I've experienced jumps in strength both times I started cycling creatine. It's interesting too considering I don't notice antything different any time other than the first two weeks or so taking it. I can go off it and I don't really lose anything. Then, I can go back on it and gain some strength. Maybe that could be a pro of cycling. I don't have any evidence other than my personal experience though.

ryan: same here. When I'm off of it, I gain slowly, when I'm on it I notice faster gains (within the first couple of weeks) like you said.

Pleasemore: lol... Nah, he just got mauled nearly to death on stage while performing a show. He's in bad condition, but supposively improving. If he comes back to do those shows again, he'll be bigger than ever.
Personally, I'd like to see SNL do a skit with Roy making a big comeback with a tiger jumping through a flaming hoop taking him out... (like a dumby or something) mauling him like crazy... while Seigfried screams like a little girl, "Stop it shiela! Stop! Prrr prrr!"

I LOVED this. I'm going to start doing this more often. Lats really get pumped. I just keep increasing until I can do no more than 5. I used really good form here, too. No jerking the weight around.

DB Shrugs: 65x20, 75x20.
Behind the back BB shrugs: 135x20
Machine Shrug: 4pl+50x20.
Traps are still a little sore from these.

Diet: okay I guess. Took creatine 1 hour before workout... had protien shake (40g) 30 minutes after workout. #8 at taco Bell, 2 servings of Oatmeal, spaghetti(lots), bread, milk milk milk.

Other: It rained today. I'm really happy with my new PR on the deads. I was looking to increase a little, and I'm happy with 20 lbs. Speed was really fast off the floor which helped me through my sticking point towards the top. 405 was really close just got at my sticking point at my thighs and it wouldn't move. Some dude was watching me on the heavier sets (385, 405) and wouldn't stop staring. He was like 5 ft. away from where I was lifting, too. Which kinda made me mad because he didn't even comment on my lifts or why he was staring or whatever. I hate people like that. He was smaller/skinnier so I guess he was amazed. My friend could only lift 315 once. He never does Deadlifts though.

Well I guess that's about it. I'll see if I can't get a chest session in tomorrow, but it'll be tight for time, since I need to get some last-minute homework done and go to work.

HOLY $H!Z! I broke the 170 mark finally! I'm getting big now. I think the weight has gone to my back and legs.

Other: I talked to this guy that goes to the gym that goes to my college that I've seen around campus a few times. He has some massive arms (I'm guessing 18-19"), and looks to be in good shape. He said he was 25 and he's been working out pretty hard for about 3 yrs. He also said that he weighs around 200 lbs. And he's about 6'2". He was really cool about everything and told me how he used to be fatter (like 240) and he's just now been cutting down to about where he wants.

That's awesome... Great motivation to think in 3 yrs. my arms could possibly be as big as his. :D (probably BIGGER) :nod: :evillaugh

All done slow with squeeze at top. (this caused cramp on the 3 plates)

80 on this machine is probably around 130 lbs. This was extremely hard, I was thinking while I was doing it... "okay, I'll stop at 10 and do some more weight since I'm tiring now, wait no I'll go for 15... Heck I got 5 more in me, lemme do 20." I really was at failure at 19, but I squeezed the last one out reallly really hard, which caused me to get up quickly and almost fall down.

ATF Hack Squat Machine(horizontal, OL-stance): 240x5!!!
GEEZ BOYZ! This was WAY down there and I would almost stop at the bottom but keep pushing for a few seconds and it would slowly move up on each rep. My legs were bulging! I thought they looked like Chase legs towards the top of the reps. ;) I had a vein running down my right leg with definition and cuts I've never seen before at the top of my tree trunks. They looked huge. when I measured about a month & a 1/2 ago they were a good 23". I'm hoping I've gotten at least .5" out of them since then.

Grrr... I forgot hip abductor machine again...

My butt felt huge today for some reason.

Diet: excellente! Getting in the food like a garbage disposal. creatine lots of water and protien shakes. Me=growing.

Other: Took my 2nd battery out of my car and wired it all to 1 sub, and 1 amp. The amp is mounted on top of the box with the solo firing back and the port toward the side-panel. Hits really hard... Made my garage door opener fall into my lap after bumping for awhile. Rear-view mirror points down, too, when it hits.

Thanks a lot Kenn, I really appreciate your input. Very encouraging. I might start that curl jockey thing... I'm thinking of adding an extra curl jockey day in there with legs or something. But not for awhile, I'm in some serious pain right now. Adding some weight on the pullups might be nice, I figure I'm adding about 1 lb. a week :D so I have been adding a little. I think I'll start with 15 lbs. once I can get that for 10 reps I'll add 5 more.

I swear that state has endless talent on the football field. They have a bunch of division 1 teams there, yet there still seems to be a boatload of players left.

I looked up the roster for Purdue and we have 19 players from Texas and 29 from Indiana. A good number of those 29 are probably walkons though, so I'd bet it would be near even for scholarship players.

Diet: Okay, I guess. Trying to eat as much as possible. Drank a gallon of water today already.

Go OU! My team be puttin' a beatin' on Misouri right 'bout now. Too bad I don't get the d@mn channel it's playing on. My friend is updating me with the score every time it changes. Purdue barely pulled off a win today against Wisconsin. That was some game. OSU game was amazing also 51-49 against Tech. I thought Tech had it in their grasps with the last posession, but with that interception it was all over for Symons.

thanks man, I'll have to check out your journal then. I also forgot that I did some rope tricep work in the workout with 50 lbs. 3 sets to failure... something like 12, 10, 8. Was at the end of the workout, and my triceps were already fried.

Also went tanning yesterday for 16 minutes. Oh yea, feelin sexay now. I might through in a leg day today... not sure.

Yea, I might go back to that exercise here after awhile. ;) I think I've gained more strength in my right arm pressing than I've had before. (My right arm is weak) I could tell by my BB Presses the other day. Almost all the reps went up solid, and straight.

nice curls too, so do you twist the DB's as you curl them up? or do you sit/stand with palms facing out through the entire ROM? I always give mine a twist.....

Upper Leg/glutes

Parallel Squats(or below): 135x10, 225x10, 315x2.5
Went down a little too low on the 315 and couldn't get back up. Sat it down nice and easy though which was ATF at the bottom. Nicer than slamming it down. Nobody would of even noticed I didn't get the lift I set it down so nicely. ;) :D

ATF Front Squats: 135x10, 175x5, 195x3!
OH yea. That's what I'm talking about baby. Going to try to get more weight with the 195 next time and then move to 205.

One-Legged Curls: 90x10/10, 140x5/5, 160x3/3.
Something about these 10,5,3 rep sets... Didn't mean to do that on purpose... :rolleyes:

Machine Leg Extentions: 110x10, 230x10, 180x15.

haha, I showed up some guys that I see everyday at the stereo shop that were there doing legs, too. They were doing this weight barely hitting parallel, if that. Like for 7/8 reps. I adjusted this to were I could go all the way down and banged out 15 quick reps. They were impressed and embarrassed to say the least. ;) I was showing them how to correctly use the machine without locking out the legs at the end of each rep.

Diet: Not too bad. Felt a little sick today. Especially nausiated after my workout. I was going to do some calf work but I was about to puke so I decided it not a good idea. The whole workout actually lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Tomorrow will be a rest day. Then thy back will commence thereafter. (that sounded smart eh?)

Thanks man, I'm going to bulk all the way through the winter... I know I can pack on some lbs. during the holidays, so I think that would be the best time to do it. ;) I'm going to try to bulk to 200 and then cut. Which hopefully will be during the summer when I look my extreme goodness.

Awesome workout today.

Workout:
Bench, Back & Arms. (basically upperbody :rolleyes: )

Bench Press: 135x8, 225x1, 260x1, 275x1.
All felt easy as pie. Had to use a little bit of power on the 275. ;) 260 went up so fast I think I could of done 2 reps, but I wanted more weight. I guess my max around 280-285. Nice to know this strength is coming back up finally. 250 felt heavy a couple of weeks back. My friends were impressed. One of my friends was like, "dang you made that 260 look like nothing." (that's his max) :thumbup:

Pullups: BWx14.5. wide- BWx5(SLOW SLOW)

EZ-bar Curls: 65x1, x2, x3, x4, 75x5, x5, 65x7, x6, x5, x4, x3, 75x2, (rest)x5,(rest) x5,(no-rest) x1.
yea. their going to grow, or else. This was somewhat of a crazy 8.

DB Rows: 70x10/10.
needless to say, arms were dead after curls...

OH EZ-bar Tricep Extensions: 75x15, x15.

Wide Lat Pulldown set of death: 100x10, 110x10, 120x10, 130x10, 140x7, 150x1, x3.
This machine seemed harder today. Maybe due to that curl bonanza I had.

Standing DB Curls Burnout: 20xfailure, 20xfailure.

A little DB lat raises with light weight, and that was it.

Weight: 171... GRRRR. Why can't I get fat?
Might be because I stopped taking creatine, and it's dropping the water weight off of me again. Oh well, time to start shooting up again.

Diet: not bad. BIG lunch, some supper, bout to have protien shake.

Other: Got an underbody Street Glow (gold series) neons for underneath my car. Brand new, $150. They're florescent white. Should make it look like I"m floating on a cloud. Going to put them on Sat. Also got an amp back, going to hook up my DD3510. Going to have front struts put on up front and aligned again. Also order Cold-Air Intake system for mah ride so I have a little zoom-zoom goin on. ;) ALSO, bought some high-heat resistant aluminum paint for my brake rotors, front calipers, valve cover, and intake manifold cover, and anything else I think needs painted silver. Since I'm in a car club now I gotta represent. :D

Go see Texas Chainsaw Masacre... scared me to death.

I'm assuming you're driving some sort of japanese import. You should get teh NOS tank so you can be like vin diesel.
