.. harder to go from 10% to 5% than 15% to 10%, anybody knows ?

because your body doesn't really want to go that low. (remember - fat storage is a survival mechanism).

When I got ripped last year I would eat 3 times a day with about 5 hours between each meal ... I would get very hungry .. my logic was that my fat was burnt then. Was I right ?
ex:
- morning meal 7pm
- dinner meal 12pm
- supper 5 pm

mmmm..not necessarily - it would depend on the diet you were on, i would think if we are looking at the time between meals.

if you aren't actually doing a ketogenic diet of some sort....chances are the calorie deficit made more of a difference in fat burning then time between feedings.

no it wasn't a ketogenic diet, I ate very little in the first 2 meals and had a big supper...
an example would be :
meal1:
1 peach
yogourt
tuna can / eggwhite
2 apple
yogourt
tuna can / eggwhite
3 alot of veggies
alot of meat (any) but as lean as possible
then I wouldn't eat until morning

you know what was missing?

starchy carbs.

your carb sources were fruits and vegetables, and casein (from the yogurt)...so you were managing insulin in a way....which I'm sure played a pretty big part in cutting.

that was kinda what i was saying before when we talked about this..

Why are starchy carbs important? I try to get most of my carbs from milk, vegetables, and fruit, except for a bowl of cereal in the morning and about 3 slices of toast a day. And where does the complex/simple carbohydrate thing come into all this?

BTW, I think I got this idea from reading all about those paleolithic diets, and it kinda made sense to me to cut back on potatoes, pasta, bread, etc. Am I totally wrong?

That wasn't much food.....

Actually, back when I was uber ripped (Around 4%) that's pretty much how I ate... small amount of food early in the day, big dinner, not too many meals.

Can't say it didn't work....
