The Kinetic chain provides all means for movement and more interesting to all of us strength. Now as we lift weights our nervous system becomes more in tune with the muscular system. The number of motor units used during motion are increased and the neuromuscular junctions function much more effieciently. While training naturally (without Steroids) your strength increases not only as your muscle fibers grow but also as you nervous system becomes more adapted to certain movements. Perfect example of this is when you take a bench junky who can throw up around 400lbs and make them do dumbell presses and they fall apart using 100lb weights. Now my question is a two part piece; 1) Strength flies up during steroid use still a lot of strength is lost after use do to loss of many aquired characteristics in the muscular system while using, but can steroid use amplify the rate at which your nervous system adapts? Secondly if so through which mechanism? Mechanoreceptors? Thanks guys.
