I'm going to do CKD on my next cutting cycle (next summer) .. but anyway, I thought it would be a great idea to gather information/tips and reciepes on it from everybody. Here's one I got from another board, credit goes to Sal who posted it:
on low-med heat, heat a pint of HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM, stirring constantly
beat 3 eagg YOLKS in a seperate bowl until very frothy
as soon as cream starts to slightly bubble, pour a little of the cream into the yolks stirring constanly to temper the yolks, add a little bit more cream keep mixing.
then add that back into the rest of the cream in the saucepot and heat on low-med heat stirring CONSTANTLY with a wisk until it thickens.
add .5 packet of equal or other sweetener, splenda
In a baking pan add some hot water to make a hot water bath. put custard mixture into a glass baking bowl and put in bath.
cook for 30-40 min on 350.
