View Full Version : bf estimate please

08-07-2003, 04:15 PM
I'm gonna get this freaking deep 6-pack even if it kills me and I don't have any muscle left :( . The middle and bottom of my abs and my lower chest is the most stubborn place, those places just DONT wanna let go of the last stubburn layer of fat, I'm confident once it starts going it will go all at once, since there is no more fat to take off elsewhere on my body lol. Anyways, I just want you guys to estimate my bf.

This is why it takes so long:

I'd guess around 11 / 12%

08-08-2003, 11:32 AM
Lower than mine you bastard!

08-08-2003, 11:40 AM
here is another one in another light... the first one was taken with flash and close, so this one gives a better perspective I think, it's still ****ty light since it's in a basement, but oh well.
btw... the box of chex in the background is not part of my cutting diet ;)

08-08-2003, 11:48 AM
I wouldn't want to speculate, but with ur definition and vascularity it's gotta be pretty low... you look good!

08-08-2003, 11:50 AM
Thanks TheGimp... I'm pretty skinny though, but I know how to put on mass.. that will come after I acheive my goal of 5-6% bf.
Just for the heck of it here is a comparison of me when I was bulking 2 years ago 45lbs heavier than I am now.

08-08-2003, 11:59 AM
hey, you remind me of Rudy... :)

08-08-2003, 12:00 PM
hehe, who's rudy?

08-08-2003, 12:04 PM
I suck at estimating bf levels. I think you're somewhere around 9-10% if that means anything.

the movie! "Rudy...Rudy....Rudy..."

it's a CLASSIC.

08-12-2003, 12:02 AM
wow, now that is a serious cut!!!

08-12-2003, 03:18 PM
I say turn the cut around, its time for some size, dude. I think that at this bodyfat, with ten-fifteen lbs more lean mass, you'd have those cuts. But thats just the advice of a lifelong fatty.

And I'd say your bf is 8-10

08-12-2003, 03:20 PM
I'd guess you to be approximately 28.1%.

Of course approximately being the key word. He could be off by about .0001-.0004%

08-12-2003, 03:26 PM
I prefer to take it to six decimal places, but I guess for brevity, you can use four if you like. :)

08-12-2003, 03:39 PM
Sub 10% my guesstimate....why not get some skin fold calipers and see what they say.

08-12-2003, 05:47 PM
Thanks, yeah my guess was 8-10 % too, I don't wanna add mass now because I want to reach 5-7% and then add size gradually and never go above 8% again.. dieting is a bitch and loosing that last layer of fat is riddiculously hard (for me anyways).

08-14-2003, 06:12 PM
Hey.. here is an update.. another week went by since the last pictures.. I think I might have drop a bit more fat :D What do you think?

08-14-2003, 08:20 PM
I sort of looked like that when I was at 171 and the calipers said 10%.

08-14-2003, 09:53 PM
Yeah. 10 or below.

08-15-2003, 09:20 AM
Nice job.

08-15-2003, 10:05 AM
You are tiny. :D
I would say 9% from you last set of pictures. We could maybe get you to compete in fall, shredded at 125 pds. hehe. Sorry, I just have to tease cause I'm used to a big Franco.

08-15-2003, 12:34 PM
yeah yeah tease away... I'll be 125 but I'll have abs DAMNIT!!

08-21-2003, 07:04 PM
Alright, might as well post some more since it's another week since the last pictures. I think I'm pretty close to my goal, if I were to shed the remaining water I think I would look ripped. What do you think my bf is at now?

08-22-2003, 09:20 AM
Uh, How 'bout "Low enough that the number no longer matters"

YOU'RE RIPPED!!! - Frightingly close to SHREDDED

08-22-2003, 09:46 AM
WOW, the fat is melting off ya bro...
You were right, you're the most ripped you've ever been. The fat on your lower abs is begging to stay because it is living its final hours. Your shape is similar to what I was at the 2001 Olympia, errh I mean Provincial. Welcome to the anorexic bodybuilding club. :)

08-22-2003, 11:45 AM
Cool :D, I'm gonna buy a T-shirt with large letter on it that reads:
I think another week of this insanity and I will deserve one BIG cheat day or two :D
just for the encouragement, what would you say is the bf %?

08-22-2003, 11:49 AM
Lets see, I told you 9% last time. That would make you about 8.6%. j/k. That looks like 7-8% to me. Keep in mind, you will look more cut when you carb up because your skin will thighten up.

Bam Bam
08-22-2003, 11:56 AM
nice job frankster

08-23-2003, 04:55 AM
Good job Franco. How much are you currently weighing in at ?

08-23-2003, 10:17 AM
Thanks, I'm very tiny @ 142 lbs

08-28-2003, 12:44 PM
Alright, another week went by, so here are some pictures for this week
I think I'll end my diet here, I'm low enough, and I'm getting too small, I'm down to 140 lbs! :( my original goal was 6-7%, I think I'm close to that, if I were to compete, I would only need to dehydrate myself to look ripped.
I think now, I'll try the ABCDE diet, I've always wanted to try that, but was too fat, I think now is good time to start.

08-28-2003, 01:02 PM
Damn bro, youre lean as f*ck. Good luck on the lean bulk :)

08-28-2003, 01:38 PM
If I were you I'd go for another 5 pounds just because I want to see your abs more clearly. You look really good, in your side tricep in particular.

08-28-2003, 02:07 PM
See my abs more clearly? I dunno, I see them pretty clearly :D
Loosing another 5lbs means going down to 135, I'm low enough, there is no real need for it unless I'd wanna compete, which I don't cause I'm too small.

08-28-2003, 02:18 PM
bah never know, perhaps I'll try to loose a bit more, it's getting retarded crazy hard, maybe I'll just have a couple days of refeed and go at it for a another week.

08-28-2003, 02:33 PM
you're still losing at an amazing rate, and with clen you know it is all fat that is going away mostly

08-28-2003, 02:36 PM
hehe, I whish, I don't even find the clen works all that well, the first two weeks I was on clen, then I stopped and did an herbal fat burner, that is when the change was done and you said that the fat was melting off. I guess it depends on the person.

08-28-2003, 02:45 PM
You got me convinced though, I'll try to loose maybe another 1-2% bf, but I'm having some refeeds , impossible without it I think, I'll just be loosing the little bit of muscle I have left if I don't :p

08-28-2003, 02:48 PM
Nice shred job. But what are your lifts like now? You would look awesome with some more chest work I think

08-28-2003, 02:53 PM
I sure would. Lifts are crappy now. Low carbs=low energy=low lifts.

08-28-2003, 02:54 PM
damn nice work frankster

I dont see the point of going much leaner; I think you're about as lean as most people woiuld ever wanna be outside of a comp

if you wants some supa-shredded pix, why not just drop water (i.e. precontest mode)?

08-28-2003, 02:57 PM
What sort of cardio did u do, and how often.....I am about to cut up some,(not to your extent mind u!)

08-28-2003, 02:59 PM
yeah, I might just do that to satisfy sinep so he'll see my abs *more* hehe. It would be fun to see my abs more though, but I'm just now starting to see the bottom abs, I think I would need to loose another 1 or 2% to see the last 2 completely. Perhaps if my abs would be bigger I would see them more.

I didn't do cardio right away, only started doing some after about a month of diet, I like to keep cardio as another weapon to use in the end :p. I did a 45 mins walk in the morning and 25 mins run at night about 4 times a week.

08-28-2003, 03:04 PM
Sorry for the thousand questions mate! But what weight were you b4 you cut? Were you as vascular, or did that appear with the fat loss?

08-28-2003, 03:08 PM
Look at the first pic in this thread, it's a bout 3-4 weeks in my diet, so you can imagine about what I looked like. I started at 153 lbs, I'm at 140 lbs now. Yeah, I'm skinny as hell, I started my diet after a 8 month layoff due to a shoulder injury during which I had lost about 20 lbs and not really in fat :(
