is the cholestorol in these hdl? :confused:

HDL, LDL, and VLDL are the carriers of cholesterol in the body, and are not really a type of cholesterol. They are actually lipoproteins that will "package" the cholesterol for transportation into the blood.

Very low density lipoproteins (VLDL) are responsible for the deliver of fat and cholesterol from the liver to the other parts of the body, and as some of this fat and cholesterol is dropped off the VLDL becomes low density lipoproteins (LDL). The LDL will continue to drop off cholesterol throughout the body.

High density lipoproteins (HDL) actually pick up cholesterol and bring it back to the liver.

so since i have hi ldl chol ratings i should not eat these two?

Whey and tuna would be good sources of protein and I see no reason that you should avoid them.

Saturated fat would be more of a concern than dietary cholesterol although both should be monitored if you have high cholesterol levels. There are steps that you can take to help lower your LDL and boost HDL cholesterol, and following a proper diet, losing weight (if you have a higher bf%), exercise, etc. will all be beneficial.
