View Full Version : how often to take vitamins within the day

ive read that a bodybuilder/athlete should take more of a vitamin than the RDA, and that for certain vits and minerals the daily allowance cant all be absorbed at once, such as vit b and c, so how often should i be taking these vits, for my body to absorb them properly.

vit c has an RDA of like 50mg a day, but for the athlete its 2000-3000mg a day, my tabs are 500mg whats the minimum amount of time i can space them apart?

since i workout fairly late in the day - i do: morning, midday, evening if i take something multiple times

i mean in hours, vit c is 500mg so your ment to take 4-6 a day.

there is no minimum time you have to space them out... but optimal would probably be 4-6 hours apart (assuming 4-6 doses). Excess water soluble vitamins will be urinated out, not stored for later use. Spreading your vitamins out will give your body constant access.

Yes, As long as theyre not fat soluble(Like Vitamin A) you should be able to supplement multiple times.C and B's are key,1 multi so you dont have too much Vit A-UpInYa though :P, MHO :P

Ive been taking a timed release multi in the morning + Vit C & Dessicated Liver Tabs with Every meal.

Is timed release good or just another way to make some extra cash for the supplement firms?
