Question for anybody that has used this...what was the consistency of your bottle? Was it gel-like, runny liquid, or somewhere in between?

It is somewhere in betwwen. If it was all 1-test it would be very runny. The 4-ad gives it more of a gel-like texture. If you are worried about the legitimacy of the product do now worry. Mike would not do you wrong.

Thanks for the response...i've read enough feedback on the product and Mike to not worry about whats in it. Trouble I have is that it's like water. I'm thinking that I'm getting a lot more volume out of each squirt than I normally would if the consistency were more gel-like. Make sense? Each squirt is a challenge as it splatters all over the place - I want it to end up on my skin not the sink.
I live in TX and it's been bitchen hot here lately - I wonder if the heat could have broken down the gel factor. Wonder what would happen if I added some corn starch in it and left outside...

You could take your question to the avant labs forum. I'm sure they would know if it's the heat or not.

I've used a number of Avant's products, some repeatedly (Gone through one bottle of One, several bottles of FL7 and Lipoderm-Y)None were really gel-like at all; they're all pretty watery.
Press down gently and cup your hand. That should keep splattering to a minimum. I'd also get some cheap latex gloves from CVS or something to use when applying it, so that you don't waste any.

Another suggestion is to shake it really, really well.
When I first started my bottle it was extremely runny. By the time I got to about halfway, it started thickening up. Unfortunately, it also seemed oversaturated (leaving some residue on my skin and accumulating on the dispenser a bit).
I think it might possibly seperate in shipment and storage.

Carbomer can change from bottle to bottle. It is what thickens the mixture. It doesn't effect the quality of the product.

Thanks for all the replies. I was just expecting something like liquid soap. That first squirt went all over the place lol. I've got it down now - inside the elbows, top of the feet, back of the hands...and I've learned nort to rub my eyes/nose after using the stuff!
