I was wondering if there would be the same effect for my post workout shake if I took it DIRECTLY after or waiting about 30-40 min after? Would 30-40 min after be ok for max. results?

Well the sooner you consume a post workout shake, the faster the nutrients will get to your muscles, which in turns means recovery happens faster, cortisol levels will decrease, etc. So yes it would make a difference. How significant, I am unsure, but unless you are forced to wait, I see no benefit in waiting to consume your post workout shake.
Although this would be less of a concern if you consumed a preworkout shake.

Agreed, the sooner the better.
For best recovery have a protein shake that has 30-50 grams of protein, 40-60 grams of carbs (at least 20 sugars). Protein is king, but carbs are also very important for recovery.
