so, when do you actually lose weight? only at night? during the day? i know you lose weight when you are under matinance calories for the day but, does that mean you only lose weight at night while your sleeping? Brad a good time for you to chime in!

Yes you lose weight at night, but you can also lose weight at any other time during the day. Although it would be a matter of hormones, etc., as to where the body was getting it's energy from.

Obviously after you eat a meal the body has no need to breakdown glycogen or mobilize fatty acids, since you are providing the body with energy from the meal that was just consumed. Then as blood sugar levels fall, other hormones would begin to mobilize glycogen and fat to fuel the body's energy needs.

Of course there are other hormones at work as well, hence the reason if you create too large of a calorie deficit the body will adapt by decreasing metabolic rate. The body is aimed at survival, not fat loss.:)
