I had this protein shake called N-Large-2, and I had half a serving about one hour before work-out. So when I got to the gym, I rode on the bike for 10mins and proceeded to work on my legs. I did squats and vertical leg press. Then I started feeling a little nauseous and sick to my stomach and couldn't continue my workout. Had anyone experienced kind of moment with protein shake in general and what did you do to prevent another occurence?

BTW: The shake was pretty gross.

Ive taken it pre-workout, only 1 scoop though (1/4 serving) w/4oz skim milk. I feel fine when I do this.

if you felt sick it was probably due to you doing legs. squats makes alot of people sick, i dont think it was the shake.

however it still is not the best thing to take pre-workout, alot of sugar in it.

i used to use nlarge as part of my breakfast shake:

4 scoops n large(one serving)
1 banana
16 oz lowfat milk
2 tblspn Natty PB

its yummy and full of calories

Taking in high GI carbs preworkout is fine, but I think the problem comes from the fact that you took in too many cals preworkout. Try taking in a smaller amount of carbs and protein about 30 minutes before training, and a shake containing 25-35g of carbs and 10-15g of protein mixed in a small amount of water would work fine.
