heres what i take, any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. im 20, 5'10, 185lbs, about 13-16% bf im guessing? have been working out 3 months and my cardio consists of a 2-3 mile run. i dont eat any fast food, junk food, or drink pop. the only liquids i take in are water, skim milk, and the very occasional beer, and even that i have phased out to almost never.
Right after waking up
- animal cuts packet (fat burner)
- glutamine pill
Breakfast, Half hour later
- 1.5 servings optimum nutrition whey protein (about 35g)
- 12 oz milk
- banana mixed in
Lunch
- same as breakfast
- maybe a turkey sandwich or something healthy but filling
Half hour later
- animal pak vitamin packet
Hour before workout
- animal cuts packet (if i take it right before a workout i get too lightheaded)
- glutamine pill
Before workout
- about 4g creatine
workout consisting of 1-1.5 hours weights, and about 30 minutes of cardio afterwards.
After workout
- another shake, same as breakfast/lunch
- another 4g creatine
2-3 hours later, before bed
-100mg zinc
-3 magnesium tablets, i cant remember the size, but 1=33% so 3=99% of my rda
-chromium piccolinate
-another glutamine tablet

I don't know much about that other stuff but I'd definately exchange the glutamine pills for glutamine powder. The reason is that you'd have to take alot of pills to equal the amount of glutamine powder in one teaspoon. Secondly if you've only been training for 3 months I'd forget the supplements with the exception of a meal replacement and/Whey protein powder. The reason I say this is because your body will grow relatively quick as weight training is a brand new stimulus plus you really need to focus on the nutrition aspect first. Supplements are good and they do work but if your eating, training and rest aren't up to par they are a waste of money, supplements work best when you are doing everthing else right. For the 1st year or two just focus on eating, training and resting than after you can look into supplements. The better choice later on would be to use creatine.
P.S. Along with using Whey Protein and A good Meal Replacements buy a multi vitamin.
Hope this helps:)
So what are your goals exactly?
It looks like a cutting stack, so if you have a specific event you are preparing for I would cut out the creatine 3-4 weeks before as it sometimes causes water retention in the love handles / lower abs area.
I'm a big fan of glutamine (more for immune function and recovery than anything else) I take 7 gm a day + what's in the optimum whey mix.
I also like to cycle CLA 6 wks on 2 wks off to knock out stubborn abdominal fat. Some people hate it, but I like it.
Reviewing your post you might want to eat more "real" food. Try adding a can of tuna 1-1.5 hrs after your recovery shake but well before bed. Also a mid-afternoon meal (protien bar or something real) would be good.
Do you lift or just cardio? Adding muscle is the quickest way to lose fat...
Anyway everyone will have lots of advice, but those are my two cents.

my reasons for working out are about 90% aesthetic, 10% health. if i look great but am weak as a little girl, thats fine w/me. i dont compete in events or anything but i wouldnt mind looking like i do.
i should have included that i do eat a 'real' supper, and sometimes a lunch.
i do both cardio and lifting. about 1-1.5 hours lifting, then ill run a few miles.

Well I'd say (as will the others on this board) that the timeframe you're lifting is to long. I'd go one hour MAX. In fact, being natty (which I assume you are b/c I haven't seen you in anabolics yet) means 45-50 minutes will be a good time to lift. If you're lifting for 90 minutes then running, man you'd better be eating a ton of food to make up for all those calories. I've been told time and again by friends, trainers and others that lifting for as long as you do is counter-productive. I'm not tryin to be mean here, just givin you an idea what more than likely is the optimal amount of time to workout for. ;)

the zinc and magnesium is the only remotely 'anabolic' thing i take. i thought about it but im 20 so i dont exactly need a testosterone. plus the idea of having bitch tits didnt appeal to me :D
i will cut back on the amount of time (at once) i work. i dont want to cut any of it out though because ive come to enjoy running. part of the reason my weights go for 90 minutes is i really take my time on bench, that alone is almost a half hour process. after that everything goes along pretty fast. if i did cardio at a different time of the day, or on my off days from lifting, would that be more acceptable? how much time would have to be spaced between the two?
