Does milk slow the digestion of protein because it contains fat? I ask cause I bought some nonfat milk recently and wondering if it will still help slow digestion. I usually add pb to it but some days, like today, my calories are limited so I can't do that. Also is skim milk the same as nonfat milk? I looked but never saw any skim milk, just whole, reduced fat, and nonfat. Does skim get sold in a gallon also?

The casein in milk will slow the digestion of other proteins, such as whey, and if you are using milk that contains fat this will further slow the digestion.

Yes skim is the same as nonfat, and most supermarkets sell it by the gallon.
