Hey Paul....

I'm going to be going back to a westside type routine as I want to get my squat and deadlift poundages up with that in mind, I have a few questions for ya...

1) On squats, I'm noticing that my speed/strength out of the hole is weak (hip flexors?). Anyways, other than low box squats (which I'll be doing), what are some other exercises that focus on that area?

2) You mentioned that you will incorporate powercleans into your routine....what day do you do them? And what kind of progression do you go for? (ie work up to a 1RM or do 3 reps with a specific weight?)

1) depending on your stance - the usual - GHR, pull thrus, SLDL, etc. Make sure you are flexing off the box with your glutes, not your quads.

2)I occasionally do some cleans on ME squat or DE squat day. I like lower reps sets 3 or 5.

Remember, Westside is about YOUR weaknesses, so what I do might not at all apply to you. (What I do might not apply to me, either :) )
