I'm doing a Westside routine (sort of) but I'm trying to also get my cleans/military up a bit. I remember reading that they think you overtrain your shoulders as is, and so usually they just do front raises to work your shoulders...but I really wanted to get my military press up and I'm not benching anywhere in the same ball park as Dave Tate. Do you guys think my shoulders would be alright after doing a DE Military (on the same day as DE Bench) and then either maxing or doing 6-8 reps on ME Bench day?
Right now my basic routine is like:
ME Bench
tris
front raises
Low rep pulls (curls, rows, maybe pull-ups)
Cleans
SLDL
DE Bench
DE Military
Tris
Squats
Cleans
Hamstrings
High rep rows/curls but not to failure
Any advice at all? Thanks
