Cottage cheese is a great night snack for cutting or bulking. It contains caesein protein which is broken down more slowly over a period of about 8 hours, supplying your body with a steady source of protein while you sleep.

I like to eat on nuts while drinking some protein w/water as a snack. Just watch the calories cause nuts have lots. I'm pretty sure they contain lots of the "good fats" plus they have protein. I'm also cutting, and I have lost TONS of bf by watching my diet, goodluck.:)

This would not be ideal for a "snack" because of the fast digestion and absorption of whey protein. If you are going to use whey as a meal replacement I would recommend mixing it with milk, fat, etc. to help slow gastric emptying.

For just casual sweet snacks during the day, I like organic oatmeal cookies (100kcal for 3 pretty good sized cookies), skinny cow icecream sandwiches (130kcal w/ 5g protein), soy crisps (130kcal for 24 chips and 7g protein) Late at night I'll have a peice of celery with natty peanut butter and a low carb low fat protein shake in skim milk.

I usually have about 7 meals during the day, each one coming in at about 300-400 kcal with at least 30g of protein. I'll also have 2 post workout shakes during the day acounting for 500kcal each with 40g protein.
