What do you guys have against milk? Especially Big Donnie.

I personally like to use milk. However, if you have more than 10% bodyfat and trying to lower to 6 or 8%...good-luck!!! The sugar content can make or break your diet considering what all you may consume. Cutting with skim milk can be argumentative, but can still make it harder to lose those last layers of fat.

Milk is great for putting on mass and muscle. My two cents worth.

I know a lot of people say milk can make you look flat but other foods that have sugar won't make you fat if you stay within your calorie range.

I really dont have anything against milk? Did I ever say I did? I dont think so.

Anywho, why wouldn't you drink milk when bulking?
(When you are cutting this is a completely different story)

I love milk, sure it has some sugar but when bulking that doesn't matter too much, its also a great sorce for protien and a tasty one too:)

With all the hormones there injecting in cows, I wouldn't drink it.

No hormones where I live.....We have very strict agricultural laws......

a lot of hormones are species specific, ie plant peptide hormones have little or different effect on humans

I can notice a difference within a week of stopping diary on the tightnesss and complexion of my skin.

I drink very little milk and none pre-contest for this reason but otherwise milk is great for adding extra cals and protein.

nothing except that those guys against milk want to sell you their protein powders. good try. who will protect you from high protein diet? calcium ==> milk.

I am not against milk and I'm also not trying to sell you any protein powders, lol - what's the matter with you, you gaffer???

Triple P, that's the smartest thing you have ever said.
As for this Gary fellow, I'm not quite sure why you think we are trying to get you to buy protein. Milk has a lot of sugar in it, sugar is a simple carb ( a monosaccharide, to be exact). Simple carbs are broken down very easily by the body and the body does not need an excess of them. When you give the body an excess, like in milk, they store in the body as fat. Obviously, if you are a bodybuilder trying to cut for a show, then you don't want to drink something that is going to make you fat.

I think you will find the sugar is a disacchardie. Lactose is made up of galactose and glucose.

milk is good if taken in moderation. excess of anything is not good, be it milk, grains, protein, nuts or even creatine.
