does it make a difference whether you do cardio before or after lifting?

I would do it afterwards. Deplete glycogen during the workout, and burn some fat with a little cardio afterwards. Rather than deplete most of your glycogen first, then half a half-assed training session.

I'd do your cardio after your workout if you must run on days of working out. Muscles grow and work better cold. Plus you don't want to tire yourself out before a workout ;)

Most people trying to build up muscle tend to lift first, so they can have the energy to have a good lifting workout, as it is most important. Save the cardio for afterward. I actually prefer to do mine at completely different times of the day.

I think after is better than before.

Seperated by several hours is even better.

And on seperate days would be best.

Just IMO

How about a 10 minute warn-up, followed by weights and ending with 25 minutes of cardio? I plan on doign this for a six weeks so I can get down to 190-195.
