Brother, do a search. Not only will you learn more, but you'll find your answer.
I'm not recommending this but I thought you'd get a kick out of this national level competitor's diet. I tried it once and couldn't even get past lunch.
Bulking diet--Get ready!! This is my typical eating(bulking program)Please be advised you may want to have your children step out of room--when reading this:
9 AM--McDonalds--4 $1 egg rollups
1 egg mcmuffin
1 hotcake no sausage
12 Noon---buffet--usually OldCountryBuffet or Chinese--$6
if Chinese--1 big plate of rice
4 very big plates of chicken stir-fry(usually I pick out the veggies--I do like the water crests!
1 plate of sweet and sour chicken
6 Almond Cookies
1 fortune cookie--hey need my fortune!
4 PM---Rallys/Burger King / McDonalds---5 doublecheese burgers--$5
1 small fries
2 apple pies
8 PM---Dominos Lg Pizza--pineapple and green pepper--$7 (I order everyday so they give me special)
9 PM--before I go bounce---two tuna sandwiches with Quick Choc. Milk
four granola bars made by Sunbelt--4 for a buck--can't beat that!!
If I don't bounce I will have 1 quart of baskin robbins ice cream at 12:30
If I do bounce--the cooks at the bar make me 3 big Turkey and Chedder sandwiches and I eat at 3 AM
THERE YOU HAVE IT!!
MY Diet!!
I know it's not pretty but then again I'm not either!!

That diet seems really unhealthy in terms of saturated fats. Anyone have an idea of how many calories it adds up to daily?

That is honestly one of the most hilarious diets I've ever seen! :D
I mean that in a "funny" way, not a "mean" way.
Bump! on one crazy thread!

of course its not healthy. I'm assuming its a pro BBer diet. No one said pro bbing was a healthy lifestyle.

That's a "get fat" diet unless the guy is 300lbs and 10% bf.
To answer your question Poet, I think the thing to do is spend a couple of months eating clean and on maintenance or even cutting back 3-4 pounds of fat.
Once you know what it takes to lose 1/2 pound per week, add 500-700 calories above this for bulking.
If in two weeks you have not gained any weight, add another 100-200 calories per day.
If you have gained more than 2 pounds in 2 weeks, cut back by 100-200 calories.
Put it this way, 1 lb of LBM per week would be a dream scenario (52lbs a year) so more realistically, you are going to add 1/2 -1 pound every two weeks.

Sure, Poet, I've got a killer bulking diet for you!
It comes from a former Mr. O, Mr. Dorian Yates himself. Give it a try.
Here it is:
Breakfast
6 egg whites, 2 yolks
5 oz. oats
2 oz raisins
3 slices whole wheat toast
1 orange
Midmorning
1 pint milk blended with 2 scoops milk/egg protein powder
1 orange
Lunch
7 oz tuna
3 1/2 oz pasta
2 oranges
carb drink
Postraining meal
1 pint skim milk blended with 2 scoops milk/egg protein powder
3 bananas
2 protein bars
Evening meal
8 oz chicken or steak
10 oz baked potato
7 oz mixed vegetables
4 oz pineapple
Supper
5 egg whites, 1 yolk
1 slice whole-wheat toast
1 oz raisins
The above diet is approximately 5,000 calories!!!
LOL@Xand, I can't believe you even tried that fast-food bulking diet.
Oh yeah, and one more thing. A good rule of thumb is to strive for gaining one or two pounds of muscle per month.

You seem to be around the level Buffzilla was a couple of months ago.
I would allways go to the gym, but I was stuck at the 160 mark. Then I started taking loads of protein shakes. It had an effect I can tell you.
Now Buffzilla is really getting packed with Beef.

No I love being packed with beef. Buffzilla can really enjoy himself now.
Posing infront of the mirror is great.
:strong:
It feels orgasmatastic to flex them biceps now that I really got somthing. I look at Buffzilla, and think, "Wow you're really somthing, you look great, hey you're super buff!"
Then I may let out a roar or somthing.
It sets me up for the day it really does.

At ~165 lbs, you'd be best off with less roaring and more weights, otherwise you may end up grunting, know what I'm saying?
