Its out. Its good. 80 some pages of fun filled dieting goodness. Its basically a cyclical diet with some twists. Even if you don't plan on dieting, his plain descriptions of all the systems in the body that control dieting is fantastic. Also, he explains quite a bit about hypertrophy.

Available here for $20:

oh yeah - this is what B&I was following in "top secret" for awhile. I'm going to be trying an eight week cycle of it, come Monday. [shameless plug]Watch my journal to see how that goes [/shameless plug]

I agree with Fuzz. I read it yesterday, and was quite pleased.

I think I am going to give the diet a go and see how I like it, as it definitely sounds interesting....:D

Is the diet/book that much different then his first one "The Ketogenic diet" ?

Reading that one atm

I was privy to an earlier copy of this diet and let me tell you, if it's anything like the first version, it's very difficult. The routine is enough on it's own to make you nuts. I just ordered the book due to moral obligation and I may give this bad boy a try again.

Yes, quite different from the original Ketogenic Diet (which I also own).

Any of studies of this diet out? Like people's results that have followed it and tried it?

Yes, Lyle wrote UD2 in much more personal, easy-to-read manner then the keto book. Everything is explained very well, from leptin to fat metabolism to hypertrophy. Its a lot shorter then the keto book and a more up to date with current research, of course.

Lyle mentions in the end of the UD2 that some testers reported 1.5 lbs of fat lost in a week, with no LBM loss. Pretty impressive.

Like Gal said, though, this is not an easy diet.

Well, I don't think any diet is that easy. In the end it all comes down to discipline (I got no probs with that btw)

I might buy it when I finish reading his first. :)

If you want to know what the specific diet is, then I suggest purchasing the book.:)

This is how Lyle makes a living, and I think it would be unfair to him to post the contents of his book on an open forum.

Plus, its my understanding that you kind of have to read the whole book to get it all. Its over 70 pages long. Not exactly something that's easy to post. Drop the money and buy it. From what I've heard, you won't be disappointed. :)

Remember that next time you want somebody to pay you for doing something for them and they want it for free.

I'm thinkin about paying to download the *.pdf format of this book. LM claims one can lose bf and gain lbm at the same time on a diet such as this. Fuzz, Gal, B&I, what do you fellas think about this? Also, Is this a worthy $20 to spend?

Stray

Deciding, myself, now also.

I think you should be able to maximize fat loss and minimize muscle loss (maintain LBM), but I do not think you are going to lose fat and gain a significant amount of muscle following this diet.

Although it was a good read and worth $20 IMO.

You should have gotten a download link sent to you via e-mail. Also, when you bought it you may have been asked to choose a user name and password.

To everyone asking if its worth it to buy this, it is.

Come on, its $20. Lyle goes through all sorts of systems which regulate dieting and building muscle, and explains them in terms someone with a sixth grade education could understand. For that alone, this is worth $20 - it will help you understand why you feel like crap after dieting for weeks on end, and it will help you understand how fat is burned and why frequent training is good.

And the diet is really good, too.

Word ma brutha, but I just spend 39 buck on the old version.

I wanna buy it, but NOT the .pdf version though. I want the book itself.

And I'm in Europe, think that would be a problem?

The more you guys hype this the more I want to get it. Dam you guys, dam you to heck.

I may just get it tonight after I workout. Maybe it has some good tips besides the ones on the prior book.

There is no scheduled date for the release of the print version, but according to Lyle's statements it should be within the next couple of weeks.

You can always buy the PDF version and print a hard copy.:)

Hi Jinxx, you're here too?

I've printed both The Ketogenic Diet and now I've purchased the pdf-versions of UD2 and bromocriptine. Not that I expect to do something with bromocriptine, but currently the biochemistry of dieting has my utmost interest.
I was surprised that bromo was 2x bigger.. I'm expecting a good read AFTER I've finished the classic Body Opus (hard copy) that was borrowed to me...

What made me come here? Well, DD mentions MCT in BO and I was looking for more info on MCT, upon which a friend (Dutchgirl) gave me a link to wannabebig forums.

Cheers

Espi

People put alot of work into writing these e-books and are willing to take the risk of keeping them digital. I think they should shown some respect, if you want the information pay for it. People will not continue to release this information digitaly (which is more convienent). Also if it had to be but into print there probably wouldent be enough interest so by paying for it you keep people willing to put out ebooks which means more studies and more info. So buy the damn book it's 20bux you cheap a$$!
