Sleep more, don't move around a lot, don't get all excited, walk slower. Chill, relax and think happy thoughts!

Eat more

(not to lower it, but to make up for it)

Watch more TV, skip classes, make other people do things for you, buy groceries online, etc.

It's shortsighted to think that lowering your metabolism is a good idea.

Lame.

I know this is off subject, but fat people make jean shopping hard for people that are in shape. I can barely find a pair of jeans that have a longer inseam than waist. So so many pairs marked 38" x 32" Blah! Stupid a$$ fat people.

Alcohol certainly doesn't slow down your metabolism. Alcohol has been shown to be processed at a slightly faster rate than other calories. The indirect effects such as dehydration might do the trick but I would hardly suggest that's a good idea.

When I lower my calories for a period of time, I find my metabolism sufficiently slows. But, if you have a quick one to start with, you'll likely waste away in that time period. :)
