I want to see what everyone typically eats in the morning for breakfast, since most people usually keep it consistent with the same foods every morning.

Im looking into getting maybe a little more protein in the morning.

Everymorning I eat:
Bagel Toasted w/ cream cheese
3 egg whites
8oz of cran-apple juice
and whey shake with banana in it

This yields 673 calories, 11g fat, 100g carbs, and 43g of protein according to fitday.com.

crack your egg...take out the yolk and you have egg whites :D

The reason for eating egg whites instead of whole eggs is because the yolk of the egg contains a fair amount of fat and cholesterol. The whites of eggs are a great source of lean protein.

On that note...here's my breakfast:

.75c oats, 3oz tuna, slice FF american and lots of hot sauce :D
usually finish it off with a few peanuts too.

What kind of oatmeal do you all buy? Instant? Brand name?

I havent eaten oatmeal since I was a little kid. The places where I live (FL, and AZ) its too damn hot to eat hot oatmeal. Do you guys ever make it the night before and chill it in the fridge and eat it the next morning?

I went ahead and bought a variety instand pack from Quaker Oat I think. Is this good enough? I havent really checked out the nutritional facts since being at the store, so I dont remember them. Im gonna go check them after this response, but just wanted to throw this out there in case you guys recommended another type of oatmeal.

Would you say that raw eggs with the yolk and whites is good for a skinny person who weighs 100lbs?!?!?!?

There's no benefit to eating eggs raw.

***I keep my breakfast pretty simple:

2 servings rice
1 boiled egg
1 banana w/ natural PB
1 serving cottage cheese w/ lots of ketchup
6oz milk w/ one scoop protein

Notice how I listed protein from diffrent sources? ;)

The rice and egg are left overs, I don't actually wait half an hour for the rice to cook.

you can only digest about half of the protein in an uncooked egg too

It does not really matter if the oatmeal is instant or old fashioned, but I would stay away from the flavored variety due to the added sugar content.

I usually stick with Quaker Oats, but the brand name is not really important. An oat is an oat.:)

I usually just eat mine dry or throw a little water over it to help get it down. There is no need to cook it, unless you prefer it that way.

Hey man, I live in Miami and I eat oatmeal a couple times a day. In the morning I will microwave a couple packets (unflavored), put it in the fridge and after about 10 minutes take it out and put some skim milk and sugar free syrup in it, goes down quick and isnt hot.

I usually rotate between:

1. Protein shake + skim milk
2. 3-5 Egg whites + 1-2 yolks, whole wheat toast
3. Plain yogurt mixed w/protein powder and berries
4. Oatmeal

Depends on the day and how much time/energy I have to prepare food.

Never taken oats, what are they good for? high in protein/carbs?
seems like everyone is taking them...
