I couldn't believe this when i heard it on the radio today, the area is supposedly really quiet and there appears to be no motive @ this stage but surely there is?

y'all don't have a lot of shootings huh?

Well in the cities it is more common, but that area as i said before is quiet and pretty rural.
I know they are more common out in the states, but you have a much larger population therefore more incidents of a similar nature are inevitable.

well most likely it was a specific act of violence, not a random one.

true, that would probably be the most probable explanation

When I moved to Folsom, CA nobody'd been murdered in any way since like 1973. The last murder was in 1997 I believe, and it was by some damned hippie from oregon who decided to snuff out his wife. I think he choked her or something...because hippies are anti gun.
The third week I lived in SF someone around the corner was cut down by uzi fire.
Then a woman was mauled to death by pressacanarios.
Then this, then that, then blah, then robbings, then carjackings, then my stereo was stolen, then more of this, and mroe of that, and my roommate got mugged.
God, dont you all love the warmth, peace, love, diversity, and compassion of the big city?

Ever watch Bowling For Columbine?
It brings up some good points.
Canada will never be like America shooting wise. We are too busy defending ourselves from the various rabid furry wildlife that want to take our nuts.
Though the beavers and any animal you see on the coinage system are on our side. It's a harsh life.

Seems like someone gets murdered every week or so here (at least), and I'm not in a huge city or anything. But the smaller town about 60 miles off hadn't had a murder in almost 30 years. Then some whacko stabbed a woman to death in her store.
Cities suck.

He's a lying hypocrite. He saying he grew up with guns, but they used the neighbors guns. So its ok if there in there house. Says he wanted to run for presiden of the NRA bring it back to tradional gun safety. But he has a petition on his website to get walmart to stop selling ammo. What does that have to do with gun safety?
Is it in the movie he gets the gun from the bank? Then has it destroyed. Doesn't sound like tradition values to me. Remember the bank is a liscenced dealer or goes through a dealer. I've seen it before. They have CD promotions you get the interest money or a nice shotgun.
But this guy says he was going to run for president of the NRA to bring it back to tradional gun safety, yet he doesn't want you to buy ammo and destroys legal purchased guns.
Hes a lying sack of sh$t. I thought it was great when they booed him off stage.

Oh is that so Berserker? :smoke:
Well the movie is obviously done with heavy clipping and editing for humour purposes and to get his point across. It IS in a way satire.

Reading 'News of the World' today - The man had 'gangland enemies out gunning for him'..
Was a celebrity minder for the likes of Robbie Williams and Nigel Benn.
"A drive-by gunman in a van fired up to 40 bullets as King, 32, left the gym with a friend".
"For King had offended major underworld figures who wanted revenge, one-time gangland enforcer John Rollinson revealed last night."

Well in that case maybe it was inevitable that someone shoved a cap in his ass.
You cant involve yourself in dodgy activity and expect to get away with it.
