View Full Version : Garlic juice?!?!

My mom got this horrible sounding stuff at the store that she wants me to try cooking with. The box says "Garlic Juice" on it, and she says the advantage is that it keeps the garlic from burning when you're sauteing something. I think it would wound my pride as an Italian to use something called 'garlic juice', but has anyone ever tried this and had success with it?

McCormick makes onion juice and we use it at our house a lot, especially since I won't consume chunks of real onions :) I can't see why it would be any different, plus who likes the taste of charred garlic *yuck*
