Hello,Im new to this board.

I am interested in using creatine to gain more strenght and all the known good stuff, but before starting using any supps I make an extensive reaserch of the product Im interested.I found in several articles (magazines, books, the net etc...) that creatine may cause hair loss,so I want to know your opinion coz my coach is really really young(he is 24) and is already losing hair and he encouraged me to use creatine(Im not saying creatine is involved but just in case)I guy like him(his huge, and I mean huge) uses lots of supps and steroids(he is my pal,he confessed it to me)
Maybe thats the main reason, but I dont know.
Since I know you want to finish reading this s**t before you die please I hope you cant tell me your opinion/experiences.
I asked my coach but he keeps telling me that he is not losing hair,he said is just his hair cut and buddy jokes like that so its no use to ask him.

Thank you in advance

Uh, the 'roids are a lot more likely to be causing any hair loss than creatine. There's no reason whatsoever that creatine would cause or aid in hair loss.

Well; there are going to be articles that say all sorts of thing. My girlfriend has an article in one of her workout magazines that says ECA stacks make you lose your hair.

I take creatine and I used to take an ECA stack, and guess what, I get little piece of hair falling out sometimes.

I'm only 18. :D

the only way i can see that happening, is due to the adrenal stimulation, T3 levels dipping, therefore causing some symptoms similar to an underactive thryoid condition.

keep in mind a loss of 50 -100 hairs a day is normal.

That's probably it too; I only noticed the hair loss when I died my hair. I'd see little hairs on my shirt or something.

That is absolutly not true. Creatine does not cause hair loss that is just some stupid rumour I heard. Sort of like creaine causing cancer. I've used creatine on and off for years and have never had any problems.

Are any of these articles from scientific journals?

Do any of these articles cite scientific work?

Well to be honest I tried to get the scientific backup for some of the "serious" articles but nothing(broken links, mini size printed disclaimers, and all kind of crap) so Im taking this only as other rumor. I mainly asked because some men prefer to have hair and be sexual disfunctional(Im talkin about the hormones stuff) so hair is also important when it comes to side effects,at least for me.

Thanks a lot for your replies.
