I was wondering what would be a good snacking alternative to tuna? I read that alot of people eat tuna for protein and calories, but I don't eat seafood. So what options would I have to get the fun from tuna, without eating stank food?

mackeral is dead cheap and can be bought raw and ready to eat. Its very high in omega 3 oils (4g per 100g) and high in calls (330kcal per 100g).
as far as i know its not full of mercury...

nuts are one of the best snacks a 200g bag of mixed nuts will provide you with over 1000kcals and 120g of good fat plus about 55g of protein (you need to eat bread or beans or some other veg to gain full advantage of this protein mind)

Also i find prawns handy a big bag 400g = 3 meals worth of protein and like all seafood is sparing of saturates and high in protein. (expensive tho, but thats bulking for u)

Hehe...he just said that he doesn't eat seafood and you list more of it.

Either way, buy some canned chicken breast, good stuff.

Turkey is a very lean meat. Turkey sausage links with eggs or turkey ham sandwiches are a great choice I think.

ditto on turkey, leaner than chicken but a hair more expensive

I go through about 4 pounds of ground turkey breast a week.

if ur not eating fish you should take fish oils...

ps, why wont you eat fish?

'but I don't eat seafood'

Start eating it.

Its some of the healthiest meat around if not THE healthiest.
Its extremely lean, high in protein, cheap and some fish are full of omega 3 fats in theyre rawest freshest form.

Or have u got some mad religion that forbids you to eat fish?

Nah. More of a disgust at the horrible odor that stops me from even trying it. I hate fish sticks as a pup and hated them, so it's gone over into my adult life and I assume I will dislike it.

Not a crime to not eat fish...you can certainly substitute a multitude of things to fill in what fish can give you. Just another source of protein...although you'd be missing out on the benefits of the good fats that it provides, but that's easily remedied with flax, fish oil supplements, and the like.

Prawns dont taste of anything if you wash them, infact they dont smell of fish at all.
I hope you getting fish oil from somewhere.
