I just started a new job where I can eat at my desk. Does anyone have some good ideas for snacks to incorporate into a bulk diet? So far I have thought of Natty PBJ sands(eating one as I write) and cottage and berries. Other thoughts? thanks

I have a massive cooler that I take stuff to work in. Granted it looks kind of silly with a lunch box bigger than most briefcases but you can carry anything.

Tri-o-plex bars
easy-open small tuna cans and crackers
yogurt
protein shakes (I have a couple shakers)
string cheese
other types of sandwiches with cheese

Is there a microwave around or is this just stuff you can have at your desk?

HY,

There is a microwave and 2 full size fridges on the floor. My eating schedule is currently

Breakfast: 7am
Snack: Protein sake @ 8:30 am
Snack: trying to figure out @ 10am
Lunch:full meal @ 12:30
Snack: trying to figure out @ 3pm
Preworkout: protein shake@ 5pm

Its the 10 and 3 snacks I'm trying to figure out. I just figured a sandwhich or something easier is best, but I probably could get away with more as long as I just need a fork for it(ie. cut up chix breast adn pasta).

Yeah, I just take my own silverware with me too. I just have to remember to get clean ones out in the morning. I tend to take chicken breasts and pasta or rice too.

Also have a few fish oil caps around can help you get a bit more fat into your diet too and add a few more calories right there.

Not what you are looking for but here is something you can keep at your desk for the food.

Back a insulated lunch pail. If you can eat your work, just eat the same things you would eat at home. Its not rocket science. To many people try making things to complicated.
I bring cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, packs of buddig lunch meat. I've brought a jar of PB. Whatever is in my fridge at home.

eat whatever you would eat otherwise. if you have a fridge and microwave, pack a full meal: chicken, brown rice, and some veggies and heat it up in the microwave. if you are looking for more snack food, try peanuts and fruit

I like homemade protein bars, NUTS (lots of them), protein or meal replace shakes.

For my 10 and 3 meals at work I usually bring something I can heat up in the Microwave. Burritos, chicken, left over steak, baked potato, and then other items like cottoge cheese, crackers, peanuts, cheeses...

i used to take a few sandwiches to work with me to have at my desk, if your infront of a keyboard at work, dont forget to wash your hands b4 and after you eat, keyboards carry alot of germs on them.
