I heard somewhere that the body cannot ingest more than 30-35 grams of protein at one time - is this true? And if so, if you just did a workout, can you ingest more?

This is just a myth.:) Your body is quite effecient at absorbing the food you consume.

If you consume a large amount of whey post workout, any that is not needed for specific purposes (muscle repair/recovery, etc.) will be converted to glucose in the liver.

If you consume a large amount of whole food protein, steak for example, it will just take longer for digestion to occur. In other words, the more steak you eat the longer it will sit in the gut, waiting to be digested/absorbed.
