Alright, i'm cutting at the moment. According to fitday based on my lifestyle and cardio activities of yesterday I burned around 3,600 calories throughout the day. yesterday i took in around 2,000cals. I remember hearing someone say that it takes 3,500 burned cals to equal a pound. So..that's a 1,600 cal deficit that day.

1) Would I be losing a pound about every three days or so?
2) Is that too much too fast?
3) Is it likely that i'm really burning 3,600 cals?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

i dont know about a couple of your questions, but it's accepted that while you're cutting, you should focus on losing around 1 - 1.5 lbs per week. that's about right though 1lb = 3500 cals approx. so just count the goods and you'll be fine. :D

I would not rely on the activity calculators that are found on various websites, as they are not very accurate, and will vary from person to person.

Just adjust your daily calorie intake up or down in small increments each week until you are losing ~1-2lbs. per week.

As bradley said I doubt those values are accurate. I would have thought if you were actually in a deficit of 1,600 cals you'd be ravenously hungry. Perhaps you are? :)
