Hey guys, I have just ordered the Mr. O on PPV this weekend and I was wondering how hard is it going to be to try to tape it with my VCR? Or is it even possible?
Can somebody help me out as to how its done, if I need to do anything special or if I need special equipment??

Run the Cable box to the VCR, and then to the TV.

Right now I have the cable box running to my receiver, then everything runs to/from my receiver. Will my VCR still be able to pick up the signal, even on a PPV channel that is normally scrambled when its run from the receiver? I should just have to set the VCR to the PPV channel and press record right?

run the cable box/satellite receiver to the vcr, set the tv to channel 3 or 4. Turn on the vcr, and set the channel on the vcr to the ppv channel you want to record. Works for my buddies here in Canada.

no put the VCR on channel 3 and have the cable box to the PPV channel. You might want to order a $3.99 movie just to test it out.

The unscrambled image has to be fed to the VCR and from the VCR to the television so you can view it. Try recording with just a regular channel. I believe that the signal may have macro vision and may record incorrectly. However, I have been able to record some events like this in the past.

I've had no problems taping from PPV. The quality is fine. Just use the way that Saint Patrick explained.

yeah i recorded summerslam a couple mos ago.
worst case scenario you can bypass the receiver and do it that way.
On my tv..I can just run everything right to the tv, then tape straight off what's playing on the TV.
