I hope someone can help.
I've been taking protein supplements to increase my intake both pre and post workout. However i am looking to bulk up but am finding it hard to eat in the morning. I dont want to put on to much fat by taking in too many calories but have heard of a supplement from prolab called Nlarge2. Does anyone recommend using this on a morning to increase my intake and put on some lean mass.
I know that most supplements are expensive and so want to know if its worth spending the extra money.
Also, has anyone heard of ZMA - What is it and what does it do?

IMO i would not use n2large.. its basically sugar water :) you could make your own meal replacement shake that is much much healthier.... but the real solution is learn to eat in the morning.. its breakfast man! eat up :D you justwake up after not eating for 8 hours or so..have a whey shake, few egg whites and sum oatmeal ( the amounts will be dependant on your calorie limit )
but to the topic again.. i would not suggest buying the n2large.. unless you have the metabolism of a v12 behind you :)
p.s. do a search on homemade weight gainer

If you do decide to try ZMA, I would recommend purchasing the ingredients seperately, which should save you some money in the long run.

The article above should give you some general information regarding HMB, but I really think you would be better off spending your money on other more proven supplements. There has been some positive feedback regarding HMB in higher doses, but this can get expensive since HMB is a costly supplement.
Some people have report benefits when performing heavy eccentric training, which is conflicting with most studies that show little benefit associated with HMB supplementation.

What kind of supplements do you reccomend to someone who has been training for 6 months and wants to put on some lean mass.I am currently 23 yers old. I currently make my own protein and carb shakes (pre and post workout) and take 5g of creatine post workout.
I currently weigh approx 168 lbs with about 16%BF.
I eat approx 1 gram per lb of bodyweight protein daily.
I know that there is no miracle overnight supplement to make you grow overnight but really want to push myself in the right direction. Im ready to work hard and really want to see some serious gains over the up and coming months.
Got any advice.
Cheers

The only thing I would add right now is a good multi-vitamin and maybe some essential fatty acids (fish or flaxseed oil). Since you have been training for a relatively short period of time, I do not see the need for any other supplements.

You mentioned that you find it hard to eat in the morning. From your question I assume you don't think you would find it hard to drink some calories in the morning.
I suggest that you look at the shake recipe that Clapose posted on the AtLarge forum on this site (link:http://www.wannabebigforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=38781).
The best product for you to use would be our Opticen meal replacement powder. This shake, depending on exactly how much of each ingredient you use, would contain a good number of calories and a ton of tissue building protein with no sugar.
A great start to your day!
