Well you should of researched the product BEFORE you bought it :) I believe hydroxycut is a non-stimulant product right? if so then it will work i assume but with less of an effect then the normal ECA stack..
Also.. i do not know the recommended doseage on that product, but i would start with lower then recommended and work my way up. for example.. if the max doseage is recommended at 4 pills/day
week 1 - 1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon
week 2 - 2 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon
week 3 - end 2 in the morning 2 in the afternoon
Maybe sumone with better infomation about the particular product can help you more.. Or you cando a search for info about it :)

Yes it is a good product from what I have heard.
Majority opinion is its way over priced compared to its competitor’s one of them being Thermocin ;) (http://www.atlargenutrition.com/product_info.php/products_id/4)
Anyway, I am sure some people will give you their feedback on it shortly.

Thermocin contains caffeine, aspirin, and a combination of ephedrine/synephrine (from guarana, white willow, sida cordifolia, and bitter orange, respectively).
Yeah took copied these from that - its like the same as hydroxycut.
At 22.95 bucks that holy cheap. I dont know what currency is that assuming is US than that's about S$45. Hydroxycut cost like S$140 here for a bottle of 140 capsules so thats a dollar for 1 cap. But i bought it for 80 bucks VIP+dicsount haha big deal.

Thermocin is a very high quality, effective fat burning supplement.
Our product is as good or better than Hydroxycut (any version) and it costs less. A no brainer, eh?

the question has not been about price or how gnc sucks. i would like to know the same thing. does a product such as hydroxycut really work? :D

Depends on the ingredients, since there is an old version and a new version. If you are referring to whether thermogenic supplements work, such as those that contain substances such as ephedrine, caffeinie, aspirin, synephrine, etc., then the answer is yes.

brad, question for you.. does the ECA just allow your body to burn more calories because of thermogenesis, or does it actually just allow you to burn more calories from fat? or does it mobilise fat easier to be burned off with cardio ect ect.. ?
My guess is that it raises the body temp and burns more overall calories.. wanna make sur i understand it tho :)

Mine is the newer version and they contain thermogenic supplements such as ephedrine, caffeinie, aspirin, synephrine...
When I bought it the woman told me not to start taking 3 capsules 3 times a day cuz the caf a lot i dont give a damn ha.
If GNC's things are overpriced, than where do you buy supplements? From the net? Or other stores?
I did saw ads on it so thought it work.

I purchase my supps online. You might check out www.atlargenutrition.com and I have just recently switched over to using their Nitrean protein blend.
I have yet to use the Thermocin, but it contains the same ingredients that you mentioned above. I am sure the price of Thermocin is much better, as compared to the price of Hydroxycut from GNC.

Some companies are known for their lucrative advertising, and Muscletech one be one of the companies at the top of the list. Don't believe every claim that you read.

Ephedrine will stimulate the release of adrenaline and nor-adrenaline which will increase fat burning through the activation of the beta receptors, and ephedrine is also an effective nutrient partioner (spares LBM).
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=3512957&dopt=Abstract
"A single dose of ephedrine stimulates thermogenesis, an effect that is enhanced during chronic treatment; Chronic treatment elevates the metabolic rate; and The substrate utilization is changed in favor of lipid oxidation."
Caffeine and aspirin inhibit the negative feedback associated with this increased output of adrenaline/noradrenaline. Caffeine does this through its effects on cAMP and phosphodiesterase enzyme and aspirin through its effects on prostaglandins. Although aspirin has been shown to only increase effectiveness in individuals who are obese.

great info bradely, thanx.
And to thread starter.. I purchase my supps from a local store, i picked up a bottle of thermo's for 49'99 and tax.. that is canadian funds :)
5lb whey was like 34.99 i believe.. so if you do not have a local store that has competetive prices, then i suggest using the net to buy your supps like bradely said.. the thermo from atlargenutrition seems to be a great buy IMO. But since you got the other one bought alrdy, give it a go and let us know the results.. but remember, diet and cardio > suppluments :)

Yes.. okay.. its like this.
Before Pic:
- The guy has a lot of muscle packed on him, unlike you do ( i assume )
- The guy is as bloated as he can possibly be and is unflexed and may have hair on his body, and the pic may of been taken in bad lighting ect.
After Pic:
- Could be taken in the morning when people look their leanest, the pic is prolly flexed, and i bet if he was hairy before, he's clean shaven now :)
Take a closer look at the pics and your get an idea of what im saying.

okay dude.. listen, go eat 5 cups of cooked oatmeal.. take a pic of yourself, go on a diet and cardio program for 8 weeks without any supplement.
then on the morning of the last day of those 8 weeks, flex all your muscles and get a professional to take a pic of you wit the best lighting possible.. you will not believe it is you in the pic.
If you think all those pictures in the ad's are real, then go buy the supplement, use it.. and be upset when the 8 weeks are up and you have no results.

Ok I have used a few bottles of hydroxycut before(old formula) and I loved the stuff. It helped me lose about 24lbs and actually get some pretty ripped abs. I also felt great b/c it seemed to give me more energy. But that was the old formula......now....this new "Ephedra Free" crap......crap is what I call it, it does not feel the same nor do I feel that it works as well but I guess thats the "no ephedra" feeling. "Sigh" I miss ephedra. I took hydroxycut just as the dosages on the bottle said and I was fine. Ne how....Hope I could help.

Ya i tried it last year for about 6 months. Yes it does work if you are using the correct kind but it does take alot of work as well. The one side effect you may find is you become very irritable again I say VERY irritable. personally I wouldnt recommend it. Just hit the cardio and the right diet and you wont need it.
