Okay, I read the CKD thing and what I got from it was:

Eat fat/protein in a 1.5g/1g ratio for 6 days - consume no more than 20 - 30g. carbs

Carb up the 7th day, repeat process.

Is that it in a nutshell or is there anything else I must know?

You may also carb up on the 6th day as well. See what works for you.

What about training? Should I use a certain training method while on this?
