I bought interACTIVE Nutrition's GlycoCarb powdered mix. It's basically serves as a post-workout drink. Well, the jug says that it mixes easily but whenever I mix them, there's always a thick white-ish glob at the top, almost tastes like cotton candy. The only way I can completely mix it is thru the blender. Can someone tell me what is that glob actually is and why that happens???
BTW: I bought it at the suggestion of my brother.

I think it may be the maltodextrin, but I always blend my shakes, when I don't I see something similar. Why not try carb-pro and some dextrose from the bulk mart....I see you canadian...thats what I do.

*** As your brother and as the one who put you onto this stuff I feel pressured to answer this question. :)
Your answer is......... *drum roll*
The reason for the clumping is due to the type of sugar content. Maltodextrin is a starchy sugar, that's why it clumps.

*makes mental note to ignore Maki's future suggestions regarding supplements*:D

Wow. What a blast from the past.
It is absolutely not needed to add dex. It was all the rage at the time to mix dex and malto 50/50. I got turned onto it from a Phamacist that was a product forumlator for Met-Rx.
I was using the glycocarb with some grape juice and then using bulk dex. It meant that I only used 1 scoop of the glycocarb which was the most expensive component.
