Hey about to start a HST programme and am just starting the 12 day deconditioning phase.As i wont be training for near the next 2 weeks should i continue to eat big.
Will eating high amounts of protein be a waste just an expensive fuel as my muscles wont be training to get built up?
Will eating high amounts of carbs and fats just lead to an increase in fat stores?
I feel if i do eat big while not training i will put on the wrong kind of weight i want.
Any advice please

Your calorie needs will be decreased due to the decrease in activity, but it is anyone's guess as to how much you will need to decrease your calorie level to avoid adding unwanted bf. I would just keep protein intake at around 1g/lb., which I am sure is more than enough but it will help to ensure that your body has all that it needs, and also keep fat intake at around 25%.

You might try decreasing cals by about 500 over the course of a few days, if you have been gaining on your current diet.
