These are just some before and afters of me a long time ago. I want to take a before picture of me now... And then take another one once I get up to 200lbs by the end of march.

How big are you calves? 8"?

nice improvements.
bulk away for a while, you shouldn't get too fat and will gain improvements.
yes, it is hard to see your calf size.

Those pics are kinda old but I agree my calves......are definitely lacking. Lately I've actually felt like I had muscle so that is good.

Like I said. Those pics are really old. I just wanted to post a pic. I was probably 160lbs in the second pic. I'm 178 right now. All I have to do is gain a pound a week and I'll be quite close to 200lbs by the end of march. Is that not realistic?

I've heard that you should try to keep your calves and your biceps the same size. Is this true? Because if it is it doensn't make any sense because my calves are definitely my worst bodypart and my biceps definitely the best on my body and even still my calves are bigger. Can somebody clear this up for me?

People say calves/biceps/neck should be the same size to give an image of symmetry ... but I wouldn't be concerned. Make everything as big as you can, and people won't notice your calves are 1" bigger or smaller. ;) Good progress, btw!

It's something that traditionally has come up in competitions. If the calves and arms differ by an inch, it's enough to catch a judge's attention. My arms are currently lagging behind my calves. Neither of which are very great, so I've got work to do on both. :rolleyes:

Thanks..i gained 20lbs in 3 months. But have stalled since holidays. I will be back at it soon though. My back...I didn't realize it was so underdeveloped though.

I've got a question. The 20lbs I put on came very easy. The more weight I have on me now..is that going to make it harder to put on more weight. Like is it going to mean that I have to eat a lot more?

You are right about your back being behind. Make sure you are doing those heavy DLs, chins, and rows!!

Good job with the gain.

FYI - you need to increase the cals as you get bigger. Just add 250 or so per day until you start to gain again.

I believe those are his goals. And yes you will have to increase cals as you gain weight/muscle.

The last set of pics I posted were from January 5th I believe and today is March 27th. I gained 27lbs going from 170lbs to 197lbs but since then (last pics) my weight gain has struggled. It's becoming very hard to put on weight. I'm starting to eat much more now and my strength is still increasing so I'm not worrying much. Can anybody notice a difference between the pics?
