If this article is valid, does that mean that oatmeal is not a good choice for p/wo shake carbs, as some may support?

This would all go back to the high GI or low GI post workout, in which oatmeal would be on one end of the spectrum and dextrose on the other. Both will refill muscle glycogen, just one at a faster rate, since the main factor in glyogen repletion is consuming adequate amount of carbohydrates to do so.

It is well known that fiber will slow gastric emptying and therefore offer a more stable increase in blood sugar levels and in turn cause less of an insulin response.

take the dex after a workout, take the oats any other time.. Lets keep it simple please :)
