Say I want a cheat meal and I do not want to go over my maintenence. Do you guys believe the cheat meal can be sqeezed in if you eat really lowfat proteins etc. and let the cheat meal compensate for the rest of you fat for the day?

Cheat meal should be done throughout the cheat day. I say lighten up and eat whatever you want one day out of the week.

Adjust your total calorie intake to account for the cheat meal, but just keep protein and EFAs at an adequate level. In other words just eat less throughout the day to compensate for the one high calorie meal.

Got you. That was what I thought to do.

That is what I was about to say. I mean if you cannot control yourself on cheat day when you are allowed to eat bad things, what makes you think you could have better control on your regular days by eating one cheat meal. Anyway, cheat days are good for you on so many levels. I would say show some type of restraint, but enjoy your day.
I love my cheat days so much. I am seeing Revolutions in about an hour.

Although I would prefer a "re-feed" over a "cheat meal", I can't however say that I always follow that rule:). I too am one for a cheat meal. Most often on the week end and during a refeed. I also do what Bradley said; eat much less calories for the day leading up to the meal. That way my daily calorie intake isn't as bad.

If i were to have a cheat binge, i would have to eat like, negative 8000 calories to make up for it :) and i do not think that is possible. Oh well.. over 2 weeks binge free! YES! :)
