BCAA's

I got this right from the mag called planet muscle.I'm doing this right now and I have noticed increased pumps to far.

1) Leucine is an important regulator of protein synthesis by reducing protein degradation in humans.Leucine spares glucose as fuel.

2) Bcaa promote protein syntheseis.

3) Bcaas consumed during traing raise growth hormone and insulin, hence the increased anti-catabolism and anabolism from BCAAs

4) The BCAAs, unlike the other amino acids, can be used as a form of energy by muscle cells.

5) Supplementing with BCAAs prior to a workout not only prevented a decrease in post-workout testosterone levels, but actually seemed to facilitate an increase in testosterone levels following excersise.

6) BCAAs adminstration has a growth effect by enhancing the testosterone/cortisol ratio

7) BCAAs admin reduces exercise-induced increases in the muscle concentration of tyrosine and pheny lalanine.

8) Post workout soreness is reduced when you use BCAAs during training.

9) BCAAs will decrease body fat ( especailly visceral fat, the fat that accumulates inside the abadomen and results in that beer gut look.

I recomend taking .44 gram of BCAAs per kilogram of bodyweight. If you weigh 90 kilograms (198 lbs) thats ia about 40 grams of BCAAs.

Using them before and during workout and after workouts.its best to ingest them through out the workout. This is as simple as taking 2-3 tabs between sets.

It was with this dosage type of dosage, that we observed gains of up to 10 pounds of lean body mass in just 3-4 weeks using this protocol.

I'm doing this right now.I'm cutting up so I will let you all know if it works and how much lean mass I gained.

I doubt that you are going to see a 10lb. increase in 3-4 weeks just from supplementing with BCAAs.

While I agree with most of the statements made above, I was curious as to whether the article sited any references to back up the above claims, since some of the above claims are rather bold statements.

he probably forgot to mention the carefully controlled diet which was part of the "protocol"

Well I tried it and my chest measurement grew 1 inch and I got much more leaner and put on five pounds in a 4 month period.I noticed I had more energy while working out.And of course you have to have a well controlled diet if you don't your not going to grow anyway.lol Yoiu should try it for a couple of months and give it a shot it really works.but 10 pounds maybe for a newbie but not a vet unless he wasn't eating right to began with.JMO

as i have stated in numerous threads, the only difference i noticed with BCAAs was decreased DOMS during cutting phases when everything is in minimal quantities. actually, made my supplementation negated my cutting efforts if i was gaining 10 pounds during this time.

I don't pretend to know a whole lot but, could someone tell me how amino acids regulate and/or even stimulate hormone production?

I've started to shy away from most muscle rags other than Muscular Development, which has credible references and bibliographies with each article (MuscleTech "Special Ad Reports" excluded). But I only buy that when they do those soft porn centerfolds.:hump:

I do this when I am cutting. Works very well. I have noticed that when I add the BCAA to my low carb cutting diet I able able to hold on to much more lean mass while dropping BF.
