Cereal is fine, but you might want to have some sort of protein & fat in that meal also.

Also depends on the type of cereal.

Alot of people eat more than the suggusted 1 servings. Most people I know eat about 2 - 2 1/2 servings in one bowl. Cereal isn't baaad but it's not a complete meal. And like heath said you still want to add some protein and EFA in there.

OT - Hi heathy <3

Oh man. I have to start every cheatday with a big bowl of rice chex :D

Back on topic. Oatmeal would be good. Just don't get the high sugar instant types. Regular instant would be fine.

Oatmeal + Eggs = good breatfast
Cereal + Protein = good refeed breakfast

It is my belife that you shouldn't consume fats for your breakfast, since it would slow the absorbtion of everything else, and after not eating for 8 hours you prolly do not want this :P althought taking a few fisl oil caps prolly hase very little efect?

This is not going to make any significant difference in the long run, and when following a hypocaloric diet the slowed digestion and absorption would be a benefit, not to mention the effects that fat can have on appetite control.

I start the day with Kelloggs Special K. It tastes great and is filled with goodness, with lots of protein and carbs. Buy yours today.

And a tbspoon of flaxseed oil, which tastes ****ING DISGUSTING.

Lol or you can say the following.:

"Made with wholesome wheat and oats which you can taste in every spoon-full"

or

"The wholesome oat and wheat texture on every flake makes for a healthy fiber-filled breakfast that kids just love." :)

Haha yes it does. But what you failed to mention is that it tastes like DewDew. :/

w/Kashi you have to mix it with another cereal. you just GOTTA. :D

Cereal is great for breakfast in the morning... I've been eating Kashi Crunch myself. 9g protein per serving, whole grains, and very little added sugar. Delicious, at least to me. :D

I have a bowl of ricicles every morning (the rice krispie version of frosted flakes) but use a scoop of protein + milk, instead of just milk.
I think it is great for the morning after a workout. You have most likely fasted for 8 or so hours and your body is craving nutrients, your blood sugar levels are also very low when you wake up. The high GI value of the cereal is great for the instant spike and drive the nutrients into the muscle.
I follow this up an hour later with a low GI meal
