The ephedra free fat burners(i.e. xenadrine EFX etc.) contain synephrine(bitter orange) in place of ma huang. Some people claim there are sides to this as well, andecdotal evidence suggests some people predisposed to developing such sides.

If you are worried, exercise is the best sup. Sorry bro.

PS. Is it true that cytodyne filed for bankruptcy?

I think most of the non-ephedra fat burners are helpful. They will all act as a diuretic and curb appetite. I drink a SPeed Stack drink from ABB now and then if I dont get my coffee, other than that I tried Nuerorexin (sp?) and for a non ephedra fat burner it worked well but gave me alot of anxiety which ephedrine did anyways.

I take anywhere from 16-32mg of synephrine with 200mg caffeine twice daily

I'm down 40lbs since june and have lost it all without being able to train

Without training? That could mean you've lost a good bit of muscle at this point.

actually by my measurements I don't think I have lost very much muscle

this is part of the rationale of losing 1-1.5lbs/ week

Our product does contain ephedrine, but in a dosage that we feel is very safe.

I tried the ephedra-free fat burners and didn't see much result from it. Supposedly, its main purpose is to give you energy if you're on a low calorie diet. I recommend taking magnesium and calcium before working out. Magnesium helps with the your energy metabolism, while calcium helps burn fat. Also, eat most of your carbs pre and post workout and try not to consume any carbs before bedtime as most of these will eventually convert to fat.

That is a unfounded myth

There's no proven studies, but it makes sense when you think about it. Carbs are the body's primary energy source. If you eat a bagel and then lay down for 6-8 hours, then your body won't use it for energy, so it stands to reason that it will be stored as fat.

Carbs are no different than anything else you put in your body. Carbs not burned for fuel will not necesarily be stored as fat. Excessive calories - be they fat, protein, or carb will be stored as fat. I don't have any experience with non-ephedra containing fat burners so can't comment on the best effective but, after using various ECA stacks continually over the last eight years I can attest that they're most effective and problem-free when used as directed.
