View Full Version : Getting rid of chunks of protein
I've been having this problem with getting chunks of protein stuck at the bottom of my protein drinks. I'm using Whey Fruity (I never heard of it until my brother told me about it. It tastes like fruit punch.) and it's one of those that you onoly have to stir, you don't need a blender. Everytime I stir it I get chunks of protein floating around the bottom. I put more water then the recommend in it and not even a whole scoop and I stir it more than often. When I try to use a blender then there's like an inch of foam at the top of the water and it won't go away until I drink it.
It doesn't really bother me that I have to force down the chunks, but after i'm done its stuck to the side of the glass so i'm not really getting anything except water.

Try letting it sit for about 30 mins after you "Stir" it and see what happens...
I came across this by fluke.. When you come back to your drink, chunks will be gone :)
and it doesnt matter if theyre are chunks or not, still does the same job

use a strainer or mix it in a shaker bottle

I find mamoth doesnt mix well with milk, it leaves chunks.
Nlarge 2 never did that to me!

That makes sense. After awhile the chunks will just desolve in the water. Thanks.

Buy either Opticen or Nitrean from AtLarge and you will have zero mixing problems. Click on the link above or go to www.atlargenutrition.com .

Just A Tip:
Add the protein after you have poured water in the cup, then shake. No clumps at the bottom:)
I have protein that blends perfectly, I use this because it tastes good.

That's what I do. I think TrevorN's idea will work, I haven't tried it though.

Perhaps, but unless you've used both products, then you can't compare the results and the quality of the ALN stuff.

I didn't compare quality at all.

Cheaper is not always better.

I just use an empty gatorade bottle, water then powder. It mixes amazingly well, even with poorly mixing powders like gnc.

Fair enough. Here is an unpaid review of one of our products (from a member of another online forum):

Review of Chris Mason's Protein (Nitrean)
« on: December 21, 2003, 02:24:29 PM »
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys,
I've used Chris' protein product Nitrean (http://www.atlargenutrition.com/nutrition_detail.php/products_id/1 ) for about 3 weeks now so I think I have a good base from which to give a review.
TASTE
------------
Wow. I can actually say I LIKE the taste of this protein (Vanilla flavor). This is the first protein supp I have not had to add any bananas or strawberries to make it taste better. My only complaint is that it is just a tad too sweet for my tastes, but I like stuff a bit less sweet than most people.
Rating (out of 5): 4/5
MIXING
----------
One of the easiest protein supp's to mix. Believe it or not, I was able to put milk or water in to a cup and just stir it for about 5 seconds and there were no clumps. When was the last time that happened?
Rating: 5/5
RESULTS
------------
When I started taking this, I had a slight tear in my bicep. I had been resting it for about 4 weeks and taking extra protein and it never seemed to heal. (OK, I didn't rest it 100% - who ever does?) When I added in the Nitrean I swear in 1.5 weeks it was almost completely healed. It's now at about 97% when it was absolutely painful 3 weeks ago. Now obviously I cannot say 100% that it was due to the change to Nitrean protein, but I think it speaks well for it that I not only continued to heal but healed faster. That means that at the very least, I was metabolizing a greater percentage of protein per serving than with my old protein (since I took the same amount).
Results: 5/5
So after my test run, I would say I highly recommend Nitrean! Any questions about my results or how I used the protein, just ask.
Thanks for letting me try it Chris!
