yes, you can eat lean protein, but you will probably want to add some fibrous veggies, or a source of fat such as olive oil, fish oil, even mayonaise, to get some fat in the meal.

actually a proper ketogenic diet is about 60-70% fat to ~40-30% protein, with negligble carbs. lean protein is a good start, but fats are vital to a successful keto.
however, keto is not the only way to diet. but regardless of the diet you choose, essential fats are NECESSARY (i.e., fish oil, flax oil).

Every so often I find myself skimming through fitness magazines on the shelf (such as Fitness or Health), and the clueless writers advise a "low-fat" version of keto... WTF??

Yeah, there's no way you're going to get enough calories in on just protein alone.
Olive Oil and Natty PB are your friends.
