Okay i just got some free Z-Mass and Amino Fuel. The Amino Fuel only has 12 servings which comes out to 4 days worth(what a crock of *****) so instead of taking the 4 pills per meal im going to cut it down to 1 per meal to prolong my use of it even though it is weaker. Now ive read up on Z-Mass and like what i hear, But instead of paying $30 for my next load of it should i buy the ZMA thats just as good supposidley and how cheap is it or should i just got buy a large deal of Zinc and Magnesium and will that have the same affects? Any comments will be helpful. LT

I'd say take what you have and then be done with it, and save your money. Don't expect dramatic results, or any results for that matter, regardless of what you do. You don't see it being sold at At Large Nutrition, so it isn't that great.
Instead of a next go around, save your money, or buy some Opticen instead.

Just because it doesnt sell at ALN which is a new company on this market doesnt mean it isnt worth buying, Z-Mass is said to give very good results, I just want my questions answered not told to buy something from this boards supplement store. Thank you. LT

It may be cheaper to buy the ingredients to ZMA than buying a premixed pill labeled ZMA.
If I'm not mistaken it's just Zinc, Magnesium and some specific B vitamin. Companies throw in this other crap (Exotic Baboon Hair picked exclusively from the ass of farm-bred baboons!) to make it seem extra special but essentially it's just those three items.

alright well Z-Mass claims to pull all the protein out of your blood in your sleep and fuel you muscles with it..how the hell do they figure it does that?

there is no proof to any claims by these ZMA products
ask yourself
"Am I getting all my essential nutrients"
do you get lot's of EFA's, vitamins, minerals
most people don't know what Alpha-Linoleic-Acid is but they know what Alpha-Lipoic-Acid and CLA are because they are hyped by supp companies but of the three fats listed only the first one is essential

For what it's worth, I seem to get good results from ZMA in as much as I sleep much better when I take it before bed. I think it also mildly affects my strength & muscle gains as well, but that is probably just a combo of improved recovery and maybe some placebo effect.
Im not sure if buying them separate is cheaper, but Optimum has a ZMA product which is very basic and $20 for 2 months worth, or ~33 cents a day, which doesnt seem so bad.
