The sugar is maltodextrin, which is basically a complex carb. It is not as quickly digesting as say, dextrose, but is still a refined carbohydrate. Don't worry about it, you shouldnt get fat off of malto.

It seems to be just fast enough to use post workout, but not so fast as to make it worthless as an MRP. Granted it is a pretty large amount of the ****, 88 grams. But hey. **** happens.

Dont worry about it.

As I posted in another thread, weight gainers are usually just like meal replacement powders they just use a larger serving size to achieve the extra calories.

If you want to have a carb free weight gainer you can purchase Nitrean from AtLarge (www.atlargenutrition.com) and mix it with some natural peanut butter (you can find these in most stores and they have no sugar added) and water. You can then adjust the calorie content of your shake to your liking and get tons of quality protein.

Go to the site and check out our products. They are top quality and reasonably priced. You can click on the reviews section to read what people like you think of the products.

I see how it works.

Someone asks a question, I try to answer, and Mason comes in after me throwing around AtLarge flyers.

I like your moxy, Chris.

Not quite Budiak, I also try to answer the question but I would be a fool not to recommend my own products, no?

If he wants to avoid carbs then he should avoid MRPs. I am not addressing the veracity of his belief in avoiding carbs, merely answering his actual question which was how to get a large amount of calories sans carbs. :smoke:

I also find it a bit disappointing how you would complain about us recommending At Large products where appropriate.

The guy asked about a better alternative to N Large, as he was not happy with the sugar content. Why is suggesting opticen/nitrean with some beefed up calories from another source as a viable alternative not ok?

Remember, At Large pays the bills for WBB month in, month out and quite honestly WBB would probably not be up right now if it did not. We also do not go crazy with the ads, we are not censoring people on the forum, and we are still putting out quality content that is not biased. We have made a big effort not to go the way other sites have.

So some recommendations where appropriate is really not out of line in my opinion.

I would think seriously about that before making such comments.

Anyway back to the topic, if you are ONLY using N Large post workout, and are trying to bulk I would think the NLarge would be fine for you. If you are looking to use it at other times of the day, or feel you are putting on too much fat you might want to look at a different product..
